I wantnothing to do with UK. To be honest if they want nothing to do UC they actually have a say in that as thier AD is on the committee.

Washington and Travis are better than brooks/scott. Have to remember, several of those dudes will go in the first round. I would prefer almost any other team than UK.

Yea, there are years where I would like a shot at them, but not this year. Hagans would eat JJ and Broome for lunch.

UC to UK is pretty much a non-entity.

That's a pretty good list and good tiers from Bilas. I don't like Marquette as much as he does, I'd have them a tier lower (though they'll be a high seed). I don't like LSU as much as he does, despite the impressive UK win, I'd have them a tier lower. I like Purdue as a final four contender and I still like Villanova as a final four contender.

Pretty thoughtful piece of writing and, most often, I feel Jay gives UC a fair hearing. He also paid a little more attention to the AAC teams than many national commentators.

Somewhat related, I noticed the AAC is broken out in ESPN's Bubble Watch as one of the seven major conferences, that get more detailed coverage while the mid and low majors get dumped in a single bucket. I think that is an appropriate placement for the American. As some here have suggested, Houston and/or UC going deeper this season would do a lot to strengthen the conference brand.

Last year they both blew huge chances to really make a statement for the league. Houston had the game won then lost on a miracle 3 when Michigan went the length of the court. UC blew that 22 point lead with the bracket wide open. How different things could have looked. Amazing how the margins are so small sometimes.

Same with The Athletic. If I remember correctly, for half of last year they didn't give the AAC full bracketology coverage like the "big boys". AAC fans came out in mobs and pitchforks and The Athletic realized what a mistake they'd made. This year they now summarize each of our conference teams with tourney aspirations in 'work left to do', 'should be in', 'locked in' categories.

Agreed. UK would destroy UC this year.

Agree with others about Marquette being way overrated by Bilas.

If UC gets a 7 seed, hope for one of Michigan schools in Columbus as a potential second round game. I am guessing the Ohio based crowd would turn on Michigan and maybe MSU.

I agree. If we are a 7 Michigan or Michigan State or even Tennessee is as good as we could hope for.

So how does this work? If the season ended today and our Net score was #22, does this mean we get a 6 seed?

Seems like, from the top 16, the committee may do their best to validate the NET rankings this year. As it stands I believe that would benefit us.

Temple lucky to hold on by one as USF misses two straight foul shots. Will Lunardi finally move Indiana out of his "ins" in his next bracket they are now 1-10 in their last eleven games?

losing in B10 games is worth more than winning in AAC games....according to the hacks that run the P5 ncaa

In their minds, Rutgers would be 23-2 if they played in the AAC.

He now has Indiana out, UC as a 7, UCF as an 11 and Temple out.
