It will be interesting to see what positions and how many we sign in February.

As for the guys graduating? We have coaches. We pay them to coach guys up. Rush showed some flashes last year and they have some guys who will be able to step in. Will they be as good as Maxx? The co-leader in career sacks at EMU? Probably not? Am I worried we are going to take a step down defensively? No.

This is a hilarious description. Pretty much nails it.

Yeah I don't mean that harshly or in a mean way. I just think NIU has been ONLY good the last couple years instead of the typical great.

I try to be rational about NIU usually so I understand what you mean. 04-cheers

It looks like our schedule just got a whole lot easier.

I'm guessing the kid did not find the paradise program to transfer to and with a dearth of quarterbacks in this year's draft, he is probably making a good decision. He has the physical tools for the job. I'm rooting for the Michigan kid to become the next "Roethlisberger" for the MAC in the NFL.

Welp, time to start biting our nails: there are many names being tossed around the Temple vacancy, but ESPN's Adam Rittenberg says Creighton is "involved" in the hire (meaning he's a candidate). That's all I can see thus far. I have no idea if he's even been interviewed or not.

I don't think he will be the leading candidate, and Wisconsin's OC has interviewed for the job and Rod Carey's name has been tossed around as well. Anyway, probably not likely he gets hired but I guess we are at the stage where Creighton's name is becoming known more nationally.

Yep. He's as good as gone next offseason if he has another 7-5 or better record. The national perception is that he's doing the impossible by winning here (they might not be wrong), and the right people are finally starting to notice.

I hope like hell we can hold onto him for one more season and contend for a MAC title. It's been my dream to see our boys play at Ford Field for the championship, far more than a bowl game. And now it's realistic.

I read a bunch of those tweets about C.C. and yes, EMU FB is getting noticed by true fans. They have a good handle on where the program has been and where it is today and they give credit to C.C.

Shaq Vann is listed on the 2019 roster. All other seniors have been removed. Was he granted a sixth year. I apologise if this has already been discussed.

I would hope that he would want to enjoy at least once year in the new facility that'll be finished this year. His and his staff's success/culture is a HUGE (if not only) reason why it's being built. He deserves all the accolades and to see the fruit of his labor for doing what he's done so far.

Yes, medical redshirt season in Fall 2016 I believe.

I would love to see Creighton in the new building as well but the Convo is the "House that Ben Braun built" and he only coached there as an opponent. I'm rooting for Schiano to get the Temple job after Tennessee assassinated his character last year.
