I'm just kidding of course, but you can HAVE all the NL baseball you want. Ill keep watching the MUCH more exciting brand of the game, which is played in the AL. And the AL is the clear superior league. Just look at interleague records, world series records, or all star games. It's not even close.
I believe what you mean is that the teams that buy their way to championships *cough* Yankees *cough* by overpaying all stars grown in other markets tend to play in the AL.
Top 4 payrolls -
2017: Dodgers (NL), Yankees (AL), Red Sox (AL), Tigers (AL)
2016: Dodgers (NL), Yankees (AL), Red Sox (AL), Tigers (AL)
2015: Dodgers (NL), Yankees (AL), Red Sox (AL), Tigers (AL)
But as for the DH, come on - if you want to be a baseball player, you should have to play baseball. You've been to the plate ten thousand times in your life. If you don't want to be embarrassed by your performance there, then work on it. If you're a baseball player, you should have to play baseball on both sides (in the field and at the plate). I can't think of any sport except for football where you can play half of the game as a player (jokes about our poor basketball defense aside).
I'm guessing that the concept of the modern relief pitcher must confuse the hell out of you (by your definition, they are *NOT* baseball players, right?).
And are you actually suggesting that what national league pitchers do at the plate is ACTUALLY HITTING? Come on, its a damn joke. And the data shows that it is still getting worse (funnier?) as the years go on.
Let's Stop Pretending That Pitchers Can Hit
I mean, if they're going to stay in the game for multiple innings, they should have to hit. That's the way it is. If they are being pulled from the game and can't re-enter, then fine, you can pull them whenever you want to.

Pitchers are terrible hitters. Let hitters hit, let pitchers pitch. Nobody buys their ticket because they get to watch pitchers make outs as "batters". BC is correct.

I am always puzzled by pitchers being poor hitters, you would think they would know how to hit a slider, since most throw it.

Yeah, it's about that time, isn't it.

I didn't like the original name of this thread, but now it seems even more appropriate. There are several other threads with the MBB's disappointments listed individually, but I'd like to summarize a couple more here:
Losing to Delaware in the quarter finals
Justin Pierce transferring
Tony Shaver not being retained at this juncture
That is all

Unfortunately, those are not random complaints.

No, but they are appropriate under this thread’s original title of MBB Disappointments.
