How good is stAte? Their record is not much better than UTA, App or CC. I'm hoping the two Arkansas teams will behave and just be stepping stones for TSU and UTA.

Attempting to rebuild the basketball program after we decided to self inflict The death penalty a few years back

What’s your excuse for that abomination of a half on your end?

UTA 68 - ASU 59. How long has it been since ASU won a game in Texas? Good luck against the Bobcats!

So basically what we agree is that both our teams suck and that neither will last very long in Sun Belt play?

Amazingly we are only down 9 at half

Watch us put up 40 in San Marcos in the first half Saturday just to annoy me more

Danny Kaspar will die of a heart attack if you score 40 on us in the 1st half on Saturday.

Oh I can imagine, but the point is that we're just extremely inconsistent. We don't have a proven scorer outside of Cockfield, so when he's being held down, it forces us to rely on a bunch of guys who may or may not get hot one day.

It's why we can win in Lafayette, and then not hit 30 percent against UTA. Inconsistent players do inconsistent things. We're probably going to be this way for a while.

Great effort by South. Yall didn't give up the entire game every time we started to pull away. Ajayi is a good post player.

As Ron Hunter said, "the big red target is on our back and everyone will give us their best shots." Better not sleep on Troy.

Yeah, Ajayi was even more of a beast than he was last year in Mobile. If Sikes has a slightly better game, we lose this one.

I predict a GSU loss at Troy on Saturday. This team could not be more ripe for a loss.

That would be nice IF coupled with a Bobcat win . . .

An early loss wouldnt be a terrible thing imo. As much as I want us to stay undefeated, our team plays with much more aggressiveness and intensity after losses....we need that chip on our shoulders to motivate us. Our guys play at a higher level when we are angry and emotions are way up.

Right now, we literally look like we're playing not to lose. I haven't seen the intense focus like when we played Georgia since the conference play started.

Little Rock may be a pretty good team next year. Some impressive newcomers with Tucker and the freshman PG.

Considering it looks like Troy just got one of their worst shooting days out of the way against Georgia Southern, you may be right.

I'm predicting Troy comes in raining down the 3's... and Varnado will be on fire.

Most of the season, they've started four freshmen and Tucker.

They made a good coaching hire I think.

Was wondering how long it would take the Troy PBP guy to call us Georgia Southern...he made it all the way to halftime, not too bad. Panthers down 36-34 at half. Fully expect us to lose this one. We are long overdue for an L.

ULM is up on the Cajuns 53-39 at halftime, they had a bigger lead but the Cajuns were battling back at the end

Nice win, Troy. I think y'all played like you wanted it more.

The last second three to win also salvaged what was somehow about the most boring final two minutes of a basketball game I've ever watched.

Troy just upset Georgia State... Varnado drained a long three-pointer with about 2 seconds left to steal the win.

I'd like to know why Troy always plays well against GSU, but sucks every other game.

The same crap happened back when WKU was in the Sun Belt... Troy would beat them a bunch, only to wind up losing to the shatty SBC teams...

Ugh. Nice 3.

Did not like that double dribble call on Philips to give the ball back Troy for extra possession. Pretty weak

Ultimately we missed the free throws. We lost because we didnt make the free throws to seal the win. Dont leave anything up to chance. Drives me nuts

We really do seem to have some sort of mental block when it comes to Troy. Or maybe you have the opposite of a mental block when it comes to GSU.

That was clutch. NBA 3 pointer range

This was my reaction lol
"Yes we forced a bad 3!"
"Oh **** he made it..."
