RE: ND saying Larry Black is returning to Toledo
I am not picking on Coach George or Coach Ward, but, when you play in The MAC, your budgets for football are less than BIG 10, etc. so you get what you pay for. They get paid somewhere between $92K-$109K when there are coordinators in P5 Conferences making millions. When our HC makes $1.2M there's not a whole lot left in the tank. And yes I do agree it takes talent and speed to win.

Wow, Campbell and Gassar must have had some falling out. Gasser is already deleted from the ISU website. Can we get him back? Great recruiter and developer wasn't he? A local to boot.

What did he coach at ND such that being the DL coach could be seen as a promotion - or at least a lateral type move with better pay. Absent that, it would appear there was an issue with him at ND. Hoper there is some missing info to change that opinion.

What makes you think that there was an issue with him at ND ?? Could it be that Larry Black welcomed an opportunity to become a full time assistant, and also was comfortable returning to the Rocket program...

Could be that I didn't know he was a grad assistant. I don't know anything about the guy. All I saw was that he was leaving ND after already having been at UT previously. Didn't know grad assistants had than much tenure. So yeh, it makes sense he would take a full time job. Tampa already addressed it. Didn't you know that?

Because we Rocket fans must always be negative.

Can you see through it?
