RE: 2019 mock acc schedule
That's not bad. As far as NC State goes I can't see the league office scheduling an inter divisional game with GT in late November and I don't think you would have Clemson at NC State in week 5. We can't play at home in week 8 or 9 because the NC State Fair is in town and you can't park cars for 160K people. I doubt we accept another Thursday night game for a while. Besides that week with Louisville is Fall Break.

Thanks for the projection. A slight correction, Louisville’s week 3 game against WKU is a neutral game in Nashville, not @ WKU.

Pitt has stated to the ACC on numerous occasions that they will NOT play Friday night HOME games because of high school football in the area. They have and will continue to play Friday night road games. So I don't agree with your week 12 projection as a Friday night home game for the Panthers.

That is pretty late in the season...wouldn't it be in the playoffs at that time?

RE: 2019 mock acc schedule
Generally, the Conference builds the schedule for television purposes based on who they think will finish 1-2-3. Yes that's ******. Anyway I would expect the following:

Clemson (they come first and set all others)

1 at GT
2 TAMU
3 at Syracuse (Maximizes a post-Dungy SU)
4 Charlotte
5 at UNC (Maximizes a UNC-Ch that might stink or be toast by week 6-7
6 BC
7 Open
8 at Louisville
9 NC State
10 Wofford
11 FSU
12 WF
13 Open
14 at South Carolina

Then it's a toss up in the Atlantic between setting the schedule for FSU and NCSU so let's post them together"
NC State ------------------ FSU

1 ECU ------ Boise State
2 WCU ------ULM
3 at West Va. ---- Open
4 Ball State ----- Louisiville
5 at GT -------- at UVa
6 Open ------- Miami
7 Syracuse ---- at BC
8 at BC ------- Open
9 at Clemson ---- Syracuse
10 Open ------- at WF
11 Louisville ------ at Clemson
12 at FSU -------- NCSU
13 at WF -------- Alabama State
14 UNC-CH ------ at Florida

The goal is to create two high profile Atlantic Games a week and match it with the Coastal to derive 3-4 total -

1. CU at GT, Boise/FSU (ECU and NCSU for fanatics), Coastal
2. TAMU at Clemson, USF at GT, Coastal
3. Clemson at Syracuse, UNC at WF, Coastal
4. Louisville at FSU, UCF at Pitt, Coastal
5. CU at UNC, NCSU at GT, FSU at UVa
6. BC at CU, Miami at FSU, Coastal
7. FSU at BC, Syracuse at NCSU, Coastal
8. Clemson at Louisville, NCSU at BC, Coastal
9. NCSU at Clemson, Syracuse at FSU, Coastal
10. FSU at WF, Coastal, Coastal
11. FSU at CU, Louisville at NCSU, ND at Duke
12. WF at CU, NCSU at FSU, Coastal
13. Miami at Pitt, Coastal, Coastal
14. UNC at NCSU, UGa at GT, UVa at VT

In the last 6-8 years the Atlantic title is decided by week 11 or rather to say with at least two or three play weeks left in the season. The Coastal in that period has stayed competitive longer. That's why the Coastal is sort of back loaded. The Office will prioritize Miami, and VT, putting GT, Pitt, and UNC sort of on a secondary footing and Duke and UVa will suck hind teet.

A gambler might bet on the Atlantic schedule, but it takes a swami to guess the Coastal.

No - not a tossup from the standpoint of where FSU or NCSU finishes. A tossup of how the league maximizes their schedule for television working around a number of set ooc games and the two weeks that State will not play in Raleigh due to the NC State fair.

FSU has two ooc games to end the year. State has four to start the year.

That would rough out to something like:

1. at Liberty
2. at MD
3. Clemson (you have them early in case you blow the MD game)
4. Western Michigan
5. Holy Cross
6. Open
7. at NC State (State will have a weather advantage, but you get a week break)
8. Pitt or at Duke
9. at FSU
10. Open (Week off to rest after trip to Tallahassee - not need vs. Western Michigan)
11. WF
12. at Duke or Pitt
13. at Louisville
14. BC

The purpose of this schedule is to get you to week 7 at least 4-1. If you have beaten MD, the Clemson ass whippin' will not matter. The creates the possibility of a 4-1 Syracuse against a 5-0 NC State (assuming State beats West Va and GT), creating a big game with schools not named Clemson, FSU, or Miami. The loser is toast the rest of the way. FSU does not get in line for their ass whippin' until week 11, keeping them in the game if they beat you in week 9.

I wouldn’t sleep on us in week one. Syracuse should win that game but our team next year is going to be very talented, by G5 standards, in most areas. I think we will put a scare on them.

Yeah, I remember that Whoopin that Clemson gave Cuse the last time they visited the Dome. I'm hoping they whoop us like that again.

Did I reference your 2017 game with them? No I did not. One can hope against Clemson, but the usual course for decent teams is to be beaten twice by Clemson - the week you play them and the week after.

A week off before is useless, it's the bye week after Clemson that matters until they come back down closer to Earth.

I also think the odds of you knocking out a third Clemson QB in three years is low.

When SU played clemson at Clemson, Cuse was up double digits with Clemson's starting qb in the game. Clemsons backup qb actually performed better than the starter. But my point was that the Dome is a tough place to play. Many more talented teams than SU have left the Dome with an unexpected loss. Most of them cant use the tired excuse about losing a player. Its all part of the game. SU gave Clemson its toughest game of the season this year and lost the game the last 45 seconds. I expect more of the same in the Dome. Babers matches up very well with Dabo as far as game planning, even though he has less talented teams.
