Until he revises his top 5, we have no shot at Edwards. He has had every chance to add us and he hasn't. He told the media WHILE HE WAS IN MEMPHIS, that he's considering Memphis. That was just so that he didn't get booed when he took the court at Briarcrest.

I hope he adds us, but not holding my breath.

We already have
Maurice
Thomas
Enoh
Wiseman
Dandridge

Harris
Lomax
Jones
Boyce
Hardaway
Wingett
Jefferies

That's an AAC champ right there and with any luck, we'll get past the sweet sixteen. Add one or 2 more and who knows.

Looks like Enoh and Wingett are both redshirts and one or both may not be back next season. Hardaway will become a walk on if need be.

We have room for a couple more. We aren't signing Hurt or Precious, I would be shocked, but I do think we are still in for some surprises.

I think Watford is a very strong probability. We could get flexible with Baugh. Good chance we pick up a reclassified, a jc transfer, and a graduate transfer.

Wiseman, Dandridge, Jeffries, Watford, Baugh and two maybe 3 more.

Maurice, Thomas, Harris, Lomax, Jones, Boyce, (some movement here Wingett, Enoh, Hardaway)

Next season right now looks like

Lomax, Harris, Jones
Boyce, Hardaway
Jeffries, Thomas, Wingett
Watford, Maurice, Enoh
Wiseman, Dandridge

Still room for more great players, a reclassified junior, or a veteran transfer in especially if Enoh or Wingett transfer out and or Baugh walks on for his first season and Hardaway moves to walk on.

If Hardaway wants to make a NCAA tournament run and I know he does, I think next season may look like:

Lomax, Harris, Player X
Jones, Boyce, Hardaway, Baugh
Jeffries, Thomas, Player X
Watford, Dandridge, Player X
Wiseman, Maurice

Hardaway and Baugh walk on next year. Depending on how many playerX and what type of playerX we land (grad transfer, early and or jc) let's say Watford and Wiseman go pro after one season, we still have 4 or 5 schollies for 2020, veteran guards, and some depth(room for walk ons) where we aren't rebuilding totally.

The next few seasons look very, very, promising.

2020 could shape up to

Harris, Lomax
Jones, Baugh, Hardaway
Jeffries, Boyce
Watford? Thomas
Dandridge
Plus 4 recruits

Not sure why Baugh would walk on when he could get a scholarship elsewhere.

Same reason as Boyce did this year, Same reason as Andre Allen took a different scholarship with Cal, not saying Baugh will but he could to free up a schollie for a year to a grad transfer or jc etc and chase a title while Wiseman is in tow. If Baugh is too selfish for that then he might not be a good fit here anyway.

No way Baugh walks on nor should he. Next years class will be 5 players. Maybe 6.

On the average, annual tuition is $24000+ for in state students. How do you even know that the family can afford that? Maybe they can, maybe they can't. I don't call looking for tuition getting paid as selfish.

Exactly. For whatever reason people are misinterpreting "may get a visit" with "may commit and sign".

IMO it is the longest of longshots...

Because some don't go totally by what a recruiting site spoon feeds them. Maybe some are hearing from sources that we have an extremely good shot with Edwards.

But the thing is, it's not just what a site is spoon feeding. AE has publicly stated his top 5 multiple times. We are not on the list. It would cost him nothing to add us to the list, yet he has not done so.

Has a recruit ever picked a school that was never in his "top 5"?

The only spoon feeding is being done to those eating his soft comments about how he likes Memphis.

I'd love for him to come out today and say he's added us to his top 6. Until he does, I see no way this happens.

Nevermind, I don’t really want to argue this.

There no need in arguing about it. Just discuss and let everyone have their own options. It’s ok.

i can only assume the staff has gotten some indication that Edwards has some interest in them. Edwards seems to be a different sort of kid based on the things you read. It will be interesting to watch his recruitment.
