Democrats starting to crack over the wall
Dems breaking from leadership
Quote:““If we have a partial wall, if we have fencing, if we have technology used to keep our border safe, all of that is fine,” Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-IL), the chairwoman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), said on CNN.

I think Chris Coons is wise enough to understand the President, at this point, will claim chicken wire and a tarp as a political win.

I think they're fine with voting $5B for the wall if they get something they want also.

Personally I'd rather give up the wall than give them what they will want in return. I'd gladly give up the wall to get a comprehensive and rational immigration policy.

There is only one reason these "politicians" are starting to give in and that is because they are getting heat back home from constituents and they have to get re-elected in less than 24 months. That reason and for that reason only. Y'all can spin this however you want but that is why they are going public with this.

There are hundreds of thousands not getting a paycheck. Unlike Trump and many Republicans, Democrats have empathy.

Except when steel workers and coal miners lose their jobs and Obama told them they just needed to figure out how to do something else because "those jobs aren't coming back". And government workers WILL get paid in full for the time lost. Those steel workers and coal miners never got their money.

Economics is going to keep those jobs from coming back, not the president.

They long ago cracked up over the wall.

The question is whether humpty dumpty can be put back together again or if their minds are permanently broken.

Yeah, probably. That would explain why we're going into week 4 of the shutdown.

Go Zips.

What a crock.... Democrats empathize only to the extent they can keep their constituents on the dole and beholden. Beyond that - not really.
