USA thread
The Jaguars are 9-7 overall and 2-1 in conference. Two of their wins were non-D1. None of their wins was particularly impressive. They are coming off back-to-back difficult games. They won in 2OT against App State, and lost by one to Ark State.

They probably will start 6-7, 6-7, 6-6 across the front line, and they can bring 6-8, 6-8 off the bench. So, they are not a big team, and their -3 margin in rebounding reflects that.

They have four players averaging from 12.5 to 15.1 ppg. Very balanced scoring. Then it drops off to 6.6. Their big gunner is Rodrick Sikes, who shoots 33.1% from the arc on 139 attempts. (By contrast, Tucker leads us in 3PT attempts with 79.) They do shoot 37% as a team from the arc, and hold opponents to 33%, so as usual they are a perimeter-oriented team. Trhae Mitchell is their eraser inside, with 39 blocks.

I say let Sikes have his shots. He takes 1 out of every 3 of their attempts from the arc, and makes 33.1% of them. The rest of the team shoots a collective 39.5%. Seems like pretty simple math to me.

Sagarin picks us by 5.
RealtimeRPI has us by 4.

Well, it was Nov. 13 when we last won two in a row. About time to do it again.

HALFTIME STATS
Well, we are up by 20, that's the main stat.

First off, our defense is back to being suspect. They shot 52% overall and 45% from the arc. But, we cleared +6 on the boards, and that helped. Plus we shot 64% overall. Burns, Lottie and Johnson are having a field day. Together they are 13 out of 18. That is hard to beat. Plus we made more FTs than they shot (thank you, Porter).

WRAP-UP
A whole lot to like and not much to dislike about this game.

Defense tightened up in the second half considerably, and we finished up allowing 40% overall and 29% from the arc. Only 2 of 13 in the second half.

Won the boards by 4. Burns, Johnson and Tucker each had 7.

We shot 61% overall and 46% from the arc. We were 24 of 33 from the line and passed the Porter test, since they only attempted 16.

17 turnovers is too many, but we had 21 assists to go with them.

Johnson. 12 pts. 7 boards. 6 of 9 from the field.

Maric 14 pts. 3 of 4 from the field.

Probably an overall career night for Burns. 22 points. 7 of 9 from the field. 3 of 4 from the arc. 5 of 5 from the line. 7 boards. 5 assists. Zero turnovers. Write home to Mom and Dad about that one.

Lottie. 17 points. 7 of 10 from the field. 3 of 5 from the arc. 3 assists.

Bankston 2 of 2. No surprise there.

When you do things right, you usually win. When you do most of the things right, you usually win big. We did, and we did.

Obviously we are not going to play, like we did yesterday, every game. But, after what I saw yesterday, I do feel we can compete with anyone in the league on a given day.

Winning by 29, with Rayjon only scoring 6, is something I would never have believed could have happened.
