NC State is probably the 4th coolest school on Tobacco Road but to most people outside Raleigh Durham it gets respect as a middle of the road P5. NIU's appeal though it pretty limited to IL and neighboring states and so in order to reach its full potential it needs to maximize that to the fullest. You could have Vince Lombardi but if the regional coaches don't send him the Jimmys and Joes he ain't going very far. It's one factor but it's significant such that I would take Joe Lombardi over Vince if the former had been the lead recruiter for Wisconsin.

Temple is interesting. Yeah the AAC is clearly better than the MAC but nobody's confusing it with the P5 and Chicago kids don't know much about Temple. I bet most Chicagoans don't know it's in Philadelphia not to mention that Temple is in the same conference as UCF. Maybe Carey will get them there, who knows.

They'll learn quickly that we have the 2nd most NFL players from the G5 behind UCF, almost the same number as Illinois (and we should pass them next year), and a handful more than Northwestern.

lol, oh god. This is fantastic stuff. Good luck to Temple.

TEMPLE FOOTBALL, BABY!!!!

Northwestern must be shaking in their boots over Temple.

You shouldn’t laugh when you can’t afford to pay a football coach $1M.

Go away Troll. Enjoy your $1m+ coach. No complaining on future 4th and 17 fake punts.

JHG came in and provided worthwhile dialogue. He didn't appreciate the dig about NW being scared of Temple. He certainly wasnt trolling.

RE: HC PICKS - My List
Doreen continued to try to recruit Chicago area players to NC State after he left. I don't think he was very successful with this. If the area players weren't swayed by NC State and the ACC, I doubt there will be many that will be swayed by Temple and the AAC.

They have one IL player iirc. OL recruited by Uremovich.

We couldn’t afford the dry cleaning for Al’s shirts.

Did I miss that Temple Access Bowl, playoff victory or string of conference championships? Why are these guys so puffy chested? Great for you that you can pay $2M to a coach. I'm not sure how the fact that we aren't paying $1M to a coach is a slight against us. Consistent winning in spite of that is pretty incredible.

Go back to your home and enjoy Carey.

Pop Warner and Bruce Arians as former coaches too. All that lead up to the great Carey hiring.

This should be fun to watch. Personally, I hope he does well.

My recommendation is to get a coach to call timeouts for him. He struggles in that department to put it nicely.
