So, I am taking the 7am flight to Philadelphia for a work meeting today and who do I see on the plane way in the back. Yep, Rod Carey. I introduced myself as a season ticket holder and than told him congratulations. Didn’t ask what he was doing going to Philly but I can only guess.

Did he already go for a first interview? Otherwise it could have just been that.

Bigger news is they dont fly him first class or at least business class. Wtf?!

I’m sensing someone is trying to get reactions. Not buying it.

I got the sense he was trying to fly under the radar, no pun intended. He didn’t seem to want to engage much in a discussion but then again he had his headphones on.

Well done bhawk! But I dont think people are stumbling over themselves to meet him.

Maybe hes just going to do some site seeing? I can see him wanting to visit philly in dead of winter.

Good luck in philly rod. You see one NIU fan on a flight and can barely talk. Bigger media is going to eat him alive.

Yeah philly is definitely brutal but like here in Chicago, I think temple flys under the radar in non college media markets.

Ok that's what I figured . People still try to associate Notre dame with Chicago but nobody gives a szhit about them or even northwestern . At least nw tries to market and promote Chicago ties, unlike niu.

Maybe they flew him out there on a private jet and after the interview sent him back basic economy (w/ no free carry on).....

Didn't even give him a car or anything either. Just tossed him out and he had to get an uber. Hes going to try to expense that to niu.

It was 52 degrees last Sunday

What about today? This is same excuse I hear from all Chicago people when I mention the weather in Austin. It was 77 here Tuesday.

About the same as here. Well, today's a bit colder but most days we've been in the 30s, if not warmer, this winter.
