My wife mentioned at random this morning that they don’t give out swag anymore.

For examples we have on a shelf a bobble head of Hawk and Old Style Buster, a casting of UA, and a mini basketball signed by the seniors from the 2004 team.

Also we used to see half time special performances, like the dunking acrobat troupes, Quick Change, unicycle riders, frisbee dogs, etc.

Now we are getting stuff like dance school recitals, 9 year old basketball teams. Which is OK, they bring their moms and grandparents with them, etc, who often leave after the half show.

So just putting it out there. Did someone retire? Is the budget slashed? Or is this just an alternative where they decided to focus on the elementary age families genre.

Personally, I’d like to return to stuff that appeals more to the adult and college age segments. At least some of the time.

I do applaud we invested in the new lighting and video modules.

Most if not all the WMU Bobbleheads, UA castings etc were sponsored by 5th/3rd bank.
I suspect a change in bank advertising focus.

Yes The new UA flashing lights add a new dimension.
I just wish the flash would end & a spotlight would highlight the individual players during introductions.

Agreed, between the lights and digital scoreboard they don't seem to use them effectively. So many back stories that could be shown on the big board but they are interested in advertising dollar vs fan interests.

Also think this years intro video is horrible.

Fanny packs are making a comeback believe it or not, especially in the backpacking world.

It’s like getting a pair of socks for Christmas.

I was sitting near a bunch of elementary aged kids yesterday I didn't see any of them with a fanny pack.
