Former coaches/players
Nice Egg they laid last night in Raleigh.

Some things will never changes, create a lot of turnovers, but give up easy shots and a ton of points.

CJ had some nice blunders last night missing a wide open chippy after getting a steal and over shooting a 3 down 4 with a few minutes left at a huge point in the game. like missed by 5 feet airball.

Who did they lose to? I haven't kept up with the ACC at all this year.

UNC, they were down like 16-2 to start the game. Came back kept it mildly close and lost by like 10 in the end. UNC almost hung a hundo

Gotcha gotcha. I was busy watching the Senate debates last night and then the follow on political circus.

Hahaha. Yes. You’re right. They’re both train wrecks. I’m just invested a lot in one and not at all in the other. So... lol

Aside from being forced to work and not paid? It’s all gravy baby. Kids are learning what a college diet of ramen feels like. They’ll just adapt quicker than most college freshmen when it’s their time having already lived the experience.

I thought CJ played ok for the most part. There was a stretch late in the second half that he carried the team. The airball though...maybe he was too open, but that was a huge shot. Would've cut the lead to 1 with around 1 minute remaining.

I haven't seen State enough to really question Keatts, but I wonder why Walker is starting over Funderburke (whatever his name is). They're winning games so far this year, but he's taken the same approach with his non-conference schedule, their SOS was 350 going into last nights game. Piling up those wins helps, and they beat Auburn at home, but I'm not sure it will help them longterm. Personally, I don't think you can play small the way he likes and win big in the P5. Playing Dorin at the 4 is a nice wrinkle to have, but I don't think that can be your primary lineup. Carolina is probably the 5th best team in the ACC and beat them at home. Their ACC schedule is favorable as well. I think they'll pile up some wins against the bottom half of the league and still fight for top 6, but it's fools gold (at least this year).

Not sure where you saw 350 I looked yesterday and it was around 150, nonetheless your point still stands

NC state scored 24 points today. I’d rather give up 90 than score 24 that’s embarrassing my 11/12 youth league boys average more

I’d like anyone watching the UNC -State game to tell me Keatts teams are not bad in half court defensive sets( or layup line). Everyone thought State was going to make noise they get into meat of their schedule and can’t buy a game. That’s because aside from an overrated Auburn team they really played cupcakes

NC State is catching that hammer. I can't watch the game right now, but that box score is laughable. Luke Maye with 31 pts and only 1-4 from 3. That means he's eating them up in the half court.

Keatts can win the ACC without playing defense if he gets Duke type talent and if not he will get his ass handed to him every night against the better teams. I don't think he coach at all but he can recruit a little bit so maybe he will make it at NCSU. But we all know they have to beat UNC and Duke or he will get fired.

That's the thing. Keatts ran a system that could dominate at the mid major level but he is not getting similar results in the ACC, in terms of dominance. Maybe he doesn't have "his" players yet. Who knows. Regardless, I think NC State's days of winning the ACC are either way behind them or a "hope and prayer" waiting for Coach K and Roy to retire. Until at least then, and maybe even after that NC State is nothing more than a middle tier talent in a conference with 2 recruiting and talent powerhouses.

I tend to agree, i think it works great at the mid level because you can "out athlete" teams and bully them. That rarely works at the highest level of college hoops. And once again, we saw that he padded his schedule with cupcakes now getting their a$$es handed to them in conference.
