Trump gets $4 billion for the wall.
Dreamers get citizenship
They get some kind of infrastructure deal to show off to their constituents for about $15 billion.

Pelosi is kind of painting herself in the corner with this "immoral" business.

I honestly think this is most likely scenario.

Some folks on the left will be unhappy Dem leadership caved on wall funding. Folks on the right will be unhappy about the dreamer amnesty.

Well, if BOTH sides have folks that are unhappy then that must mean something was done correctly.

I'm still waiting for a democrat to explain the difference between an "immoral" wall and a "moral" wall now...

Because Republicans are only 85% snakes.

Mitch McConnell is not going to change the rules in the Senate over a 5 billion dollar impasse.

Doubt it... huge pieces of legislation or judicial nominees... yes; but not small pet political favors.

Not entirely true Marc... They offered him some money (And I don't think it was anywhere near $25b, but if you can show me that number in writing somewhere from a legit source, I'll accept it.) for a DACA/DAPA combination, which was going too far for Trump.

Doesn't sting for me. I bet it will sting the 800,000 people that this will effect. I hope the Dems revote on these bills every day. The shutdown could end today if Trump and McConnell would stop their hissy fit.

Also, why are you talking like that? Hittin' the bottle early?

It’s limited to one use per year. They used one for tax cuts, the other for the failed attempt to gut Obamacare that got McCained. They could use this year’s on it, but the House won’t agree without getting something in return (“I’ll take half of what I want and give you nothing” doesn’t count).

But it’s not about a wall. It’s about dominating the news cycle, holding out a shiny object so the conversation isn’t about Congressional investigations and hearings, and from that perspective it’s been enormously successful. Republicans will pay a political price, but Trump doesn’t care about that part.

Here’s a prediction.

Trump tells everyone that his re election effort hinges on getting a wall.

The child President on camera says he would be proud to shut down the govt. for border security. 58% of the population blame him and the economy gets hit a billion a week every week it is shut down further deteriorating his election chances.

Yeah he didn’t write a bit of that Art if the Deal book. The guy is a moron. The D’s have NO incentive to do a deal.

sure they do if they actually cared about reopening the government....

since they chose to make it political, all DJT has to do is wait it out or use the power given to him in 1976....

the dems are in limbo without a stone left to throw....
