Exclamation Miami 2019 Open Date?
Hey guys. ECU and VT just cancelled their 2019 game. I was looking through the schedules, and it appears that Miami is the only other FBS team that doesn't have 12 games scheduled in 2019.

So a couple of questions:

1) Am I reading that right? Does Miami only have 11 games so far?

2) How did that come about? Was there a cancellation, or has it been open the whole time?

3) Any idea whether it's being held open for some game in the works?

I'm just curious whether my school (ECU) will try to reach out, or just grab some no-name FCS team to fill our vacancy.

1) YES. The ACC schedule is waiting on Miami to find a 12th opponent.
2) Open the whole time - the Canes are not ones to fill their schedule years in advance... sometimes they wait until the 11th hour.
3) No idea, but I'm guessing it MUST be a home game (they already have one neutral site vs. Florida and one away game at FIU).

The U has filled the 12th slot in its schedule with an FCS opponent in recent years. I expect they will do the same for 2019.

yes technically the schedule is waiting on miami to finialize an fcs game, though its probably done just not announced yet, same with date of fsu-alabama state figuring either 9/21 or 11/23 based off alabama states known dates

And the winner is . . . Bethune Cookman.

https://fbschedules.com/miami-bethune-co...-schedule/

Quote:Miami will host Bethune-Cookman at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, in their second contest of the season, per the report. That would likely put the game on Saturday, Sept. 7, pending the release of the 2019 ACC football schedule.
