UAB came in first among Conference USA schools at $49.5 million. The study lists UAB's revenue at $28.4 million.

Behind only Boise, UCF, and USF in the G5 looks good. Not sure how the researcher arrives at those numbers. Be interesting to know what our value was pre-shutdown.

UConn is also ahead of us. But what is interesting is that we are 3rd among G5 schools in revenue.

We are 71 overall, while our friends in Pike County are rated 100. Our Value $49.5M, Troy $15.2M, closest C-USA School is UNT #81 at $26.4M

Dang. missed UConn. Nice to see UAB listed among the top teams in the AAC. I hope the new stadium gives us a nice boost in revenue.

I guess we now know what we don't know. - Numbers

Value and income numbers may influence how UAB will be perceived by a conference committee charged with deciding who to invite to their next expansion party. These imply stability of sound financial support so important to maintaining good programs over time. The more our value and income numbers grow over time, the greater the chances will be of being "liked" by decision makers.

Hey, UAB. Enough with the stupid subsidy cap. Our programs are more than worthy of investment. Match what our peers are spending (the AAC) and watch this department take off!

This doesn't even include football revenue. The $28.8M this study is using as the football revenue figure is the same amount UAB reported for its 2016 athletic expenses. Can't link directly to it but search through ope.ed.gov and you'll find what I'm talking about.

Then our numbers don't even make sense right? But I can't see how the study is done since I'd have to sign in. Probably similarly stupid results for other schools
