Saw this on the CUSA board courtesy of herdfan129. Didn't seem to get much love there, but paints an obvious picture that the AAC is not part of the "g5".

7/12 of our teams have been ranked. More weeks than all over g4 conferences combined.

Since divisions in 2015 a third of the conference has been ranked at some point each season.

Voters tend to vote by habit, that kind of consistancy means even surprise teams will begin to get ranked each year. AAC teams will show up earlier and more frequently.

Should be 6 more CFP weeks for AAC as Memphis has beeen ranked for nine weeks total. As the CFP is the most important poll, it’s impressive that over half the teams have been ranked.

I don’t know if I trust numbers from someone who lives in West Virginia and/or attended Marshall. Surprised he had enough fingers and toes to count it all.

Well as a Memphis fan already pointed out, he shorted memphis 6 weeks in the CFP poll. I am also surprised USF was never ranked in it. Be be honest I did not fact check him at all

Honestly, yeah. That was my reason lol. That's also why none of them are mentioning it over there.

They might not be 100% accurate. I was traveling and bored so figured I would look it up. Very possible I missed something here and there. Keep in mind this is from 2014 on. I didn't go back any further.

And there is the answer for all the sports trivia buffs out there. Who was the highest rated G5 school in the initial CFP poll? Answer: ECU It's been all down hill since.

Yes, in week 11.

Cincy was ranked in the CFP this year. OP stats are not accurate.

Kick out Cincinnati. Lose to ECU in basketball and still ranked less often than ECU in the worst 5 year stretch in the history of ECU football.

Plus they lost to Scottie Mo. You get no credit for beating him this past year. Lose once to Scottie Mo and you're branded for life.

If a few people take each ranking we could compile it pretty quick. Who has some evening time free?

I decided to do it because some of the Sun Belt and CUSA posters. But mainly because lately the App St fans have been claiming they have a better program than teams like Memphis lol.
