OSU Fan Site Eleven Warriors - is SEC/ACC/ESPN a monopoly?
https://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/ohi...anti-trust

From one fan:

With The SEC deal with ESPN and upcoming deal with the ACC along with controlling the CFP and being allowed to hold the monopoly on airing the games, how is this not anti trust? Why do the other networks not get a chance to rotate the television of the playoff and championship games? This controls recruiting and gives the SEC and then the ACC an unfair advantage in recruiting. IMHO if ESPN is going to air the games they should have to give up rights to the SEC network. This is not good for the other 120 or so teams in College Football! How long before there is a court case?

This is all of it, but the comments showed that not all of the fans on this site are clueless.

Still any pain we can give the Big Ten fans is a WIN for me. 03-wink

Cheers,
Neil

With a PASSION for me. Ped State (State Pen), Rutgirls, Delany, and Twerps in that order are the primary reasons. 03-nutkick

Lol, I have despised the Big Ten since the mid-Sixties.

Any single thing bad for the Big Ten is a very good thing, in my opinion.

The idea that ESPN is some ACC water carrier is bizarre parallel universe stuff. ESPN, if anything, is a net ACC detractor.

One of those who replied said he was a lawyer, and that the Big Ten & Delaney had no court case. Closed. Furthermore, I am pulling against Ohio State from now on after seeing a poster use Sherman’s picture (he who burned Atlanta, Columbia (SC), and Jackson (MS). Don’t like that firebug!!!

Sherman did what he had to do. Blame to dumb Sandlappers - they are the ******** who started things.

I think it's a bit of a leap of logic to say Sherman "had to" invent the "scorched earth policy". Seems a bit extreme.

ESPN purchased the broadcast right for the CFP through an open bid process. Any claim of a monopoly would be laughed out of court.

So you went over to Eleven Warriors site, got your feelings hurt about a post and came back here and started a thread about it?

You guys are hilarious!

No, did basically what you just did. Went to another conference's site, read a thread, and then laughed about what another conference fan wrote about. 03-wink

I at least had the decency not to laugh at them on their own site though. I know what snowflakes fans of Big Ten programs can be. And if we knew you were coming here, we might have been able to set up a safe space for you. 05-stirthepot

Cheers,

The Today's Posts option tells the viewer (if they bother to look at it) what board the thread is on. So, if in fact, you didn't bother to check to see you might be coming to potential enemy territory and just pre-maturely wet your pants because you saw "Eleven Warriors" in the title, that's not my fault. 03-lmfao

Cheers,
Neil
