Let’s build off of this.

He did look great in the extra periods as did the whole team. There was so much room to maneuver for everyone. I will say no more.

Yep, exactly. And kudos to Murphy for continuously running double high screens to give Jackson an open paint while Thompson rolled to follow the shot. It really plays into both guys’ strengths. Hopefully we see more of that going forward, even when Toure is on the floor with Thompson. Anything to get both guys out of the paint.

Absolutely, agree. Though that play seems so much more versatile with Minnie as the other screener rolling out behind the arc. But yes, either way, I am glad to see Murphy putting a little more interest into offense.

They honestly might run the table. Maybe one loss sprinkled in there before they steamroll in the MAC tourney. That’s the best team this conference has had in years, maybe decades.

I have our MAC record as 1 - 0 - 1.

One win. no losses. One game vs. UB.

What I mean is that we have a loss because we've played UB. Other teams, except TOL, haven't played UB so they don't have that loss.

Crazy way to say, the UB loss is no big deal.

I like lets build on this idea. This is the first game all year long where we played up to the potential would be nice if we could win the west

One takeaway from the game: Minnie was 6 of 8 behind the arc and the team 8 of 13.

Do that every game and we WILL win the west.

BSU was ranked in the low 70s.

Another poster , ‘Pom’ I believe, turned me on to the NET rankings. I looked it up, and it seems this was developed by the he NCAA and will be what is used by the selection committee starting this year or last. They tested the formula over years compared to tournament results. They no longer will use the rpi.

Anyway, they have Ball St as 49 (way better than say Rutgers) and EMU as 263- both prior to last nights game. Take a look...

EMU jumped to 213, and are no longer the last in MAC. That honor belongs to Western at 249. Ball St unfortunately dropped all the way to 72. It was an impactful game for both schools.
