Holy cow!! You sure it was him?

Yeah, like I said, I don't watch much as I have no horse in the race. I used to be a VT fan since my sister went there right before the Vick era, but have grown to dislike them due to my ODU affiliation and my wife hates football so I really don't watch much college football at all anymore outside of ODU.

Looking back at the schedule, I think it was the NC State game I watched a bit of while channel surfing. Lawrence's stat line was fine and Clemson dominated the game, but every offensive play was a quick out or screen to the wide receivers and then the receivers did all the work on yards after the catch. Not that he was bad, but my impression was that he was a "game manager" type and not a play maker. I guess I assumed their schtick was quick outs and letting the receivers make a play. Obviously, I was wrong.

I have a few cousins in SC who are Clemson grads/fans. I was texting with two of them Monday night. I asked how Clemson got that surfer dude looking QB and how good he is even if he doesn't fit the casting model! My cousin said "Well, you know we call him Baby Jesus around here". What a hoot...

Conspiracy theory: Tennessee Titans tank in 2020. "With the 1st pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, Tennessee Titans select....."

"Trevor Ronnie Sunshine Bass Lawerence"

Titans go on to win 16-0 regular season, win the AFC championship, winning Super Bowl LV outright. 04-cheers

I was thinking more like Jeff Spicoli. "All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine."
