99% of the time the "Co-Player of the Week/Co-Rookie of the Week" stuff is basically chickensh*t stuff on the part of the CAA.

I tweeted that he's on pace to break the CAA season record, and now https://twitter.com/BtToews follows me. Is that his dad?

R.O.Y is a high probability.
Now that the scout report is out on him it will be quite interesting to see what happens in the Delaware game. Do they stay with shooters to avoid the kick out and force him to finish? I expect with time he will be able to come off that high pick and nail the middle J or snake into the key without having to jump pass.

They're in trouble either way, he can finish at the goal too.

He showed the other day he can finish with his left too. I remember when we were watching recruit videos of him someone mentioned that as a concern... that he always finished right. Now he's attacking left and right and defenses are going to be able to camp on shooters and double Cacok. Toews is the piece McGrath needed. Build around Toews and we are off and running.

Toews and Gadsden have a really good chemistry together too. They both have very high basketball IQs... Gonna be a fun backcourt to watch develop together over the next couple of seasons.

I know for a fact they really like & respect each other. Attention to detail, putting the interest of the team's ahead of your own and consistent physical effort makes these two fun to watch. Wait till next year!

I can see the chemistry. In the ECU game Ty cut baseline and Kai hit him with a perfect bounce pass and they reversed roles in a recent game. Fun times and I love cuts that are rewarded!!

Having great distribution is awesome. Not just on offense, either. Having an offense based on ball movement and selflessness can lead to more intensity on the defensive end, because all 5 guys feel like they’re an essential part of the team.

I love what Kai and Ty bring to this team.

Im excited to See Kai and Cam Wynter go head to head. That should be an exciting matchup of exciting freshman prospects.

Too bad they won't guard each other.

Why wouldn't they? Does Kai play the 2 spot more often for you guys? Also when Kurk Lee returns Wynter will be doing much more flipping between the 1/2 spots. I would not be surprised for them to be covering each other regardless of playing the 1 or 2. I think Kai is too quick for us to have Harper guarding him all game.

Toews has been playing over 30 mins a game with no backup. Gadsen is back now so can spell him. He is too valuable to get into foul trouble so it seems as though the staff are giving him the easiest cover. He was a much better defender at the beginning of the season applying full court pressure and regularly taking charges. I would like to see a return to that. A physical player who has not been playing physical.

That good to hear Hawking because Gadsden has been the best (eye test) on ball defender to this point. Having both of them playing good defense would be terrific. And, they play well together too which is cool.

RE: Toews ROW Jan 7th
I'm okay with Kai being used more on offense than defense right now, especially with his greatest impact being on the offensive side of the ball there's no reason to put him in situations that could put him in foul trouble. Gadsden looked good the last couple games, but we don't want to burn out Kai in the case that Gadsden's injury re-emerges. I'm okay with him playing tough defense but not bearing a major responsibility on that side of the ball.

That makes sense. In that case it may be a one way battle. I would expect Wynter to cover Kai, even if Kai does not cover Wynter.
