RE: WAC basketball week 10
CBU picked up its first DI conference road win in program history with a 77-75 victory at Chicago State. Jordan Heading scored 26 points while Milan Acquaah added 16 points. Ty Rowell hit the game winning three with 11 seconds left and finished with 14 points.

A tough loss for Chicago State. They had a chance to win it but missed a last second three pointer. An eight point loss at UMKC and a two point loss at home to CBU are a sign that the Chicago State basketball program is slowly getting better.

Trying to watch the NMSU vs Bakersfield game on the WAC digital network. Whoever is handling the camera needs to get their eyes checked though. They cannot keep the game in focus at all. Very frustrating. You'd think a DI game would have a bit more quality.
Currently the score is 24-14 Bakersfield and neither team is playing that well.

Aggies playing much better in the second half. Cheering for the Aggies to pull out a win. Of course, the only time I cheer for the Aggies is when they represent the WAC in the NCAAs or when they play against Bakersfield! Don't want CSUB winning anything before they move on to the Big West conference.

I actually enjoy watching the grind it out physical style that CSUB plays, but like you, I want them to win nothing for the rest of their WAC stay. Once they leave, I'll pull for them to win the Big West.

Matej Kavas out 4-6 weeks for Seattle U. Without setbacks, latest he comes back is Feb 23rd vs Chicago State in time for GCU/CSUB/Vegas.

Huge, huge blow for SU. Arguably their most critical player.

Damn, those Vaqueros are tough to play/beat when you don't have a strong ball handler or two. Now back to this UVU/SU battle to stay out of last place in the WAC.

That is a tough loss. Kavas played a great game against GCU last week. I've always been impressed with his game.

So glad to get out of Vaquero land with a victory. GCU has never played well there. We were just one Hail Mary shot from sweeping this weekend. McCants shot still hurts!

What the hell happened with Seattle? I was checking the score and they were blowing them out in the first half. When I checked the final score I was surprised ?

They haven't been eliminated. The three teams who beat them still have to play Seattle in Seattle. They are still in it.

Man that UVU/Seattle game was a great game to go to. Our crowd was actually loud as we started to peck away at the lead. Richard Harward, our 3rd big, definitely stepped up for us with a mammoth double double. Connor MacDougall had a cast on his left pinkie so hopefully that won't be a long term injury.

Great crowd, great comeback, great win. IF IF we can sweep next week, which is no easy task, and we'll be right in the thick of things for the Reg Season title. It's another great and still surprising week of WAC basketball. It sure is WACky…. sorry guys

Exactly right. They played all three games on the road. To be honest, it should have been suspected they’d start off 0-3. Bakersfield, GCU, and UVU.. all very tough to win at.

Let's not forget they did two of those without Kavas. It still things but it's not over. Time for depth to step up. So far, the depth of mostly freshman has been terrible unfortunately. Another long term injury and it could be disaster.

Congrats to the Aggies on the win over the 'Runners. As usual....I'm heartened that we can hang with (almost) anyone, but saddened (maddened.....too regularly) we cant finish...consistently.

Regardless, there seems to be hope for an interesting season/tourney going forward for several schools.
