Right....I was contemplating this scenario. Let's say a local Memphis kid who has been offered commits now. But....Memphis is in on two other higher ranked players for the same position. So, what do our coaches say....sorry, but we will not give you a scholarship until #1 and #2 decide? Seems like a weird dance to try to get the best players while not ticking off your other options. Any thoughts?

I would make a list of pros/cons, think about it, then go with my gut.

I do think you need some four year guys who know the system to go along with the one or two year players. I think Jeremiah was a two star and hats off to him for sticking with his home team. Can you imagine our team without him this year?

Man is that a tough one. With limited scholarships (even if you project a transfer or 2) it seems between Quinones, Baugh or possibly one of the 2010 kids reclassing (Green, Hampton, Walker, etc) you have to think that Baugh is on the backend on the list of possible guard options (at least I do). I'm thinking it really really depends how confident they are that they get one or more of the others.

Yep you’d think it depends on how confident the staff is that they will get another stud guard.

The staff is not lacking in confidence --just sayin

It could spark another commit.
