Beating Toledo at Toledo is hardly a measuring stick. Unless you’re a midget. Yes BSU has talent. But they also are fragile psychye. I don’t know if it’s the carryover from Arizona with Coach Witfield. They had a chance last year to really shine and they didn’t. Again beating Notre Dame at Notre Dame is hardly a good baromete

We’ll see how they pan out. But when it comes to big games I expect to see Sybil. She has a tendency to show her ugly mug in big games.

But I've watched them a couple of times, and at some point you have to trust your eyes :)

For this conference, they have talent, size, depth, and athleticism

And experience (fragile psyche?)

And they execute on both ends.

How about a gentleman's bet?

I'll take BSU against the field in the MAC West.

For 20 pushups (maybe 2 sets of 10 at this point in my life?)

A way to keep this MAC season somewhat/more interesting :)

I don’t disagree regarding the west. They’re just not Buffalo. I mean Buffalo can be beaten and BSU might have the best chance. Buffalo has a proven track record. BSU? They haven’t shown yet that they can win the big game.

But since you’ve elevated me to a gentleman I’ll take your bet for 20 push-ups. But whom do I take? To make it interesting I’ll take Western. Do I start doing them on Tuesday?

The Ball State win that impressed me was when they smoked Valpo at Valpo. Smoking Toledo at Toledo was pretty impressive too I think.

You know it’s a sad state of affairs for WMU basketball when this is the conversation (and only conversation).

Game today was beyond awful against a horrible team. Think Akron shot like 28% and still won fairly easy. That game result could ultimately wind up deciding “the battle for the basement”.

Flash back to last summer when news of Bryce & Brandon surgeries first surfaced.
Is there ANYONE online here that thought the Broncos had a wimper of chance to win on the road at Akron or Kent? Certainly not me.
Better indication of our Bronco team is how they bounce back & play in the next two games at home.

After seeing the #1 college football team get distroyed by 30 the actual basketball scores on the road mean nothing. A Loss is a loss

I’m still stretching out. I know my time will come.

It’s interesting to see a team so dependent on offense absolutely collapse when they have no defense to use to counter.

At Some point they’ll find their legs, confidence and begin to fill it up and look like with everyone expected them to be. I just have trouble believing the pressure that Buffalo puts on would dissipate for any logical reason. And that is the key difference between Buffalo and the rest, their defense!

And then EMU put 95 points up today! I know they shot 60% plus including triples. Seems like the Sybil complex is running rampant in the MAC!
