RE: Final Rankings?
21 seems high for Boise St and 3 Mountain West schools is an anomaly. 9/10 conferences represented - no MAC.

He's always been partial to the MWC. As I recall he is from Oklahoma, went to Oklahoma State and spent his formative years covering sports in West Texas.

This could be close to what the final rankings turn out to be. And if it is, it will demonstrate what is bad about rankings like this. Army had a wonderful year, and I'm happy as I can be for them. But in no way are they one of the top 30 teams in the country, much less top 15.

That's a "let's throw the Cadets a bone" vote.

When you look at who else is behind them and actual results on the field, there's a good argument for them being ranked.

I doubt any teams from NC will finish in the Top25 but if one does, it won't be one from the ACC.

NC State did choke the WF game, but only lost to Clemson 41-7 and lost to Syracuse and TAMU -both of whom will be ranked in the top 12-15. Three top 15 losses out of 4. Yeah, I guess App had a better year after all.

RE: Final Rankings?
The six non-P5 teams in the final poll is, I believe, the largest since before the BCS era.
