Anthony Edwards is very athletic. Handles the ball very good with both hands. Explosive big guard. Would love for him to come along with Wiseman, Dandridge, Jeffries.

No problem. Wish some of you guys would come join me sometime. Watching Wiseman and Dandridge jam up the lane is fun. They sit back and wait for the shot to go up and they time it beautifully, especially Wiseman. He swats away shots like we would do on a Nerf Hoop. It’s funny really. Plus they run the floor like William Bedford.

I was at Briarcrest tonight for the Bartlett game and stayed until halftime of the East game. I was very impressed with Edwards, but didn't know who he was until watching the sports segment on the 10:00 news. Previously watched Wiseman and Dandridge play in a tournament at Bartlett a week or so ago. Wiseman was in foul trouble the entire game and couldn't do a whole lot, but Dandridge was a beast. He is an excellent passer for a big man. I can't wait to see both of them in a Tiger game.

Didn't see Penny tonight, but Mike Miller was there.

Yes, Penny was there. Penny was on one end of the court and Miller on the other. They got this covered from all angles, in more ways than one.

What a luxury to have big time events like this with big time players coming TO the city of Memphis. Any HC at Memphis would have to love it.

TigerNole79,

Were you there at BRIARCREST for the Memphis Hoop Fest?

You are such a strong Tiger fan, so tell me how it went. What did you think about Wiseman? Anthony Edwards...?

Or maybe I got it wrong and you were at the Olive Branch version....what did you think about DJ Jeffries?

Edwards is a real gamer. He would be a total game changer for the Tigers. Wiseman seemed frustrated at times for not getting touches and settled for jumpers early on. Once he got in the paint he was unstoppable. DJ did a little bit of everything...rebounded, dunked, made threes, and handled the ball well.

That was your imagination.

Funny how people rationalize or justify things to help prove their preconceived notions.

RE: Who’s going to see The Big Ticket and Dandridge tonight
There is a great argument with many amazing examples that lower ranked players often become really good college players. There are over 3600 D1 players, nearly 1,000 new ones each year. If this is a Tubby thing, last year and this year have proven that players like Davenport and Brewton can become really good college players, especially as seniors.

But there are very few examples of teams in the final four without highly rated high school players/NBA caliber players, especially the winners.

I guess it all depends what your goals are, there was a coach last year that said Memphis players don't want to play for Memphis anymore.

That statement from Tubby was incredibly stupid. And 100% wrong too.

Yep. Memphis players just didn't want to play for Tubby.
