Nick Norton Injured
https://whotv.com/2019/01/02/drake-falls...n-injured/

And from Twitter - Scary moment here at Drake-Evansville: Drake's top scoring guard, Nick Norton, was just helped off the floor to the locker room after injuring his left leg. Not putting any weight on it. Potentially significant injury in the Missouri Valley.

RE: Nick Norton Injured
Just doing some research on it & he had some type injury before his senior year of high school as well. I think it was around the same type injury.

This would make 3 major injuries to him in the last 5 to 6 years.

It was mentioned that this would sideline him for the next 6 to 8 months.

Obviously the end of his college career.

RE: Nick Norton Injured
Trying to remember some who got injured.

Patrick Craft (or is it Kraft?) playing 1 season only & had a knee injury that ended it for him.

George Wilkerson had foot issues and had to redshirt a year. I think it made him miss the year we beat UA in the NIT & he returned the following.

Bruce Baker had injuries throughout & Andy Kennedy wore a knee brace the first year or so at UAB after transferring in.

Craft blew out his knee before playing for UAB, during his Prop 48 year (or whatever it was called that year). Maybe current medicine could have repaired it, but not what was available then. He did get some garbage minutes but could hardly move on it.

Alonza “Cat” Smith lost a chunk of his leg to bone cancer during his transfer-redshirt year, early 80’s (he’s the same age as Mitchell and Mincey). He never suited up for UAB.

Jan. 04, 2019 Men's Basketball

Drake University senior Nick Norton's knee injury suffered in Wednesday night's game at Evansville will force the guard to miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season, head men's basketball coach Darian DeVries announced Friday, Jan. 4.

Norton suffered an injury to his left knee late in the first half of the Drake men's basketball team's double-overtime loss at Evansville while driving to the basket.

Norton's injury was evaluated Thursday and following an MRI, team physicians determined Norton tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Surgery to repair the ligament will be performed at a date to be determined.

Andy Kennedy . The player before the knee injury and the player after were night and day apart from each other. That's how good Andy was before he got hurt.

Yup. Unfortunately, I was at the Bham Summer League game when Andy tore it. He had a great career at UAB but he never could attack the rim like pre-injury. I was also at the game in Montgomery when Carlos Williams was hurt. Went up for an uncontested dunk, came down and his leg just buckled. Sickening to witness.

RE: Nick Norton Injured
Nick had a Hurt Knee in High School, The Blazers took a chance on him and received two good years from him and hurt it again while playing for the Blazers, It was bound to happen, It was knot fixed properly, He will make a good Coach or what ever career he decides to go in. Wish him the Best.

Just Like Izell Reese, If he did not have a injury in High School he would of went to FSU knot the Blazers good injury paid of for the Blazers played all four years for the Blazers and went pro and played 7 in the NFL.

Keven Jackson a All American had a injury in High School took the Juco route and was All American in College at Bama could not Make it in the NFL or as a Coach.
