Logan J seems to have turned really tentative out there, sorta reminds me of KW last year. I know he isnt gettimg major minutes, but you can still tell he has alot of talent and will probably be big for us the next few years.

RE: Green Wave Game Thread
Logan J looks like the type of guy who will be an unexpected hero some game this season.
And average 2.5 points per game the rest of the season.
That said, I have hopes we are going to be very impressed with him in the future.

Tulane's guards couldn't keep from getting gashed by Broome and Jenifer. Bigs weren't really necessary. On the + side, Fredericks had 9 points off 3-5 from outside, Williams had a pretty "meh" shooting night; but 10 points, 3 blocks, and 3 steals from a 2 guard is nothing to sneeze at.
I know Cumberland may not play in the league, but when he's tuned in, his game is just crazy solid. He has to be one of the best in the country.

Was UC's 1800th program win last night. If Wikipedia's numbers are correct that's puts them at 15th all time. List of programs in striking distance (including this years wins)
12. BYU-1818
13. Utah-1808
14. Arizona-1805
15. Cincinnati-1800

Completely agree. I think he'll get a shot at the NBA, probably will play a little on a 2 way contract, but doesn't have the athleticism to get drafted. But his floor game is incredible; scoring aside the guys is an incredible passer. He's just an all around great basketball player who really understands the game.

This team is a lot of fun to watch. The D is incredible; just smothering. And the players have such different skill sets, so it's interesting to see them work together on O.
Any word why he didn't start or play much?

Not sure I'd say this defense is "incredible." They have been really good most of the time. Their performance against Xavier in particular was excellent. Last year's defense was incredible. This year they are sitting at 15 in kenpom adjusted defense. They have room to improve. I think they have a real shot to be a top ten type defense which is great, but not ready to go overboard yet. They've had some liabilities at times this year.

This team has improved a lot more than I thought it would after the Ohio State game. I am interested to see how it looks when the bigger games hit in February.

He definitely has his travel game nba ready. Sometimes dude looks like he is moonwalking all over the court. Part of that is cause his game is so refined that he maximizes every movement but I am consistently shocked he's not called for at least 1 travel a game.

uh, at this point, I’d take that. Rather beat those three enroute to elite 8 than lose to St Joe, Nevada, Harvard, UK, etc in first or second round...

Actually, my point was that everyone lauds X for their tourney record but never acknowledges that they caught a lot of breaks in route to those coveted elite 8's. It's not like X has pulled a lot of major upsets in the tourney, either.
Meanwhile, UC usually gets paired up against the Golden State Warriors.

I'll take that bet for any amount you wish. My guess is they do not finish the year with 5 healthy/veteran starters.

I despise Xavier but, dude, know what the hell you are talking about.... they have been to 3 elite eights. 2004 as a #7 seed--beat a 10,2 and 3 seed. 2008 as a #3 seed--beat a 14,6 and 7. 2017 as an #11 seed-- beat a 6,3 and 2. Looks to me like they beat 5 teams that were seeded higher. Really see no breaks.

hmmm... Lehigh, Georgia St., and a 12 seed Wisconsin team were all post first round X opponents.
Although I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, someone who does might say those count as "breaks".
