Certainly a concern about the WR spots and DL. Running game should be solid. OL will be a strength. That said, I see another 8-4 or so season.

We’ll be fine. I’m with SV. I think we’ll be 6-2/5-3 in Conference.

RE: Herd football has promise in 2019...
considering that offense held us back most of the season in almost every category, then coming on last few games of the year. I think we can improve by 1 win, even with the losses of Brady and defensive guys.

9-3 would be my prediction. Green matures more, the line run blocks for an entire season and the defense doesn't have to win the games on their own. So I guess there are pros and cons to losing some guys while the others matured.

If we hire a defensive cood. that can place the players in the right positions and can call plays correctly then the defense should be fine.

With Green coming back and now a RS Soph he should take another step. Green missed 4 games and would have probably had at least 950-1050 more yards passing (avg 277 a game) and another 7-8 TDs in the air.

Obiolo should take Brady's place as the #1 target on offense but we also have 2 6'1 and 2 6'3 WRs coming in that redshirted last season. Tyler King and Brenden Knox in the backfield plus the additions of Jalynn Sykes and Lawrence Papillon at RB, unless we just have massive injuries we should do pretty well next year.

Wouldn't count on King being back. Just have a feeling and hope I'm wrong.

You say that as if you have the inside track on this Banker. I haven’t seen anything on HerdNation. Are you in the know?

IF King doesn’t return, that’ll be a blow but man, Knox is kick ass.

Just means Jaylynn Skyes (Rome GA) or Lawrence Papillon (Miami FL) will have to step up immediately.

Looking forward to the rematch against Marshall next year. Hopefully we don't throw a pick-six and have a punt blocked for a TD that game...

Marshall and FIU should duke it out in the East for that division. FAU might be a darkhorse. MTSU is in rebuild mode but shouldn't drop too far. ODU, Charlotte, and WKU have work to do, but not that much. The East should strengthen.

Don’t put that pressure on us, we’ll underachieve again. Only to play in a bowl game and look like a dominant program. Lol!

We play FIU at home next season. Which helps. I hope it’s the last home game of the year on a cold November day. 02-13-banana

Traveling across the country to play Boise on smurf turf... L
Cinci is probably going to be borderline top 25 and we can’t expect to compete with that... L
Doc vs Solich... probable L
Split the F_Us and drop another in conference.
Woohoo, another 7-8 win regular season and meaningless bow win.
Get Doc an extension!/s

RE: Herd football has promise in 2019...
Now that I look a little closer at the schedule:

VMI - Win
@Boise - L - Likely loss
OHIO - L - Doc has been owned by Solich
Cincy - L - Bearcats could be a Top 25 team when they roll in to The Joan.
@Charlotte - W
@FAU - W/L - I think we drop on of FAU or FIU
FIU - W/L - See above
ODU - W
WKU - W
LaTech - W/L - If this were in Ruston, I’d call this an L for sure.
@MT - W - We really don’t play well in Murfreesboro, but MT is rebuilding
@Rice - W/L - Should be a W, but we don’t play well in Texas and they beat us badly last time

We could be anywhere from 9-3 to 5-7. I just don’t know.

You, and about 75% of the Marshall fan base need to find someone else to root for. You would rather root for the failure of the program than its successes.

Go crawl in a hole with the Piss Yeller And Blew Ball MFers.

As long as Doc is here, 8-4 is prrtty much it. Unless another Cato type team can make up for his lack of competence. I predict a record low year in attendance and Doc's ousting this season.

I don’t root for Marshall’s failure, that’s just the most likely outcome of next season based on Docs track record and our current team. What’s your prediction for next season?

Fans like you are the pathetic worms that allow 8-4 seasons in cusa to happen, and one title every 10 years and call it a success. Some of us expect more, and we should, even with you sheep dragging improvement down through lack of expectations.
