Congrats to PJ Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers! Strong finish to the season winning three of last four against tough opponents. Always good to see former Huskies succeed. 04-cheers

Congrats to Fleck.

I always thought that CMU should have been the boat rowers. "The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down, of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee...."

I was at that game and it was hard to believe how poorly they played. They seemed completely disinterested.

Please note that Minnesota's opponent, Georgia Tech, lost to both #2 Clemson & #5 Georgia by a similar point spread earlier this year.....

Like Rod last year, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Detroit was not the "Rambling Wrecks" first choice to spend Christmas at.

Doesn't seem like it would be Minnesota's first choice for Christmas either.

Fleck will have Minnesota in national title talk within three seasons. I'm not sure if he's the best x's and o's coach in collegiate football, but he can recruit and he can motivate.

PJ is a winner, been that way as long as I've known him.

Where do you get your drugs?

I’m all for alums succeeding, but Until Minnesota fills the recruiting classes with almost all 4&5 star athletes like Ohio state and Michigan. They will always be in the second tier of big ten and then they have to compete with the Other big time programs In other conferences. I think The school is happy with 8&9 wins and at least being close to getting into the big ten championship each year.

I agree, but I wouldn’t underestimate him. He’s following a similar pattern to his success at WMU. Just won his bowl game like he did at WMU his 3rd year. Look for a big jump at competing for the division title next year.
