SMH, they lost one game to the #2 team in the country and all of a sudden they are trash?

They were undefeated. What was the committee supposed to do?

I will never understand the resentment so many people have against Notre Dame, particularly fans of programs that Notre Dame rarely, if ever, plays.

Because they can go unranked to top 5 in two games. Their fans think they should be Top 5 every season regardless of record. They act like they have Bama's level of success in the last decade. Not to mention too many sports people think all of the above.

At the same time they realize the SEC is overhyped and propped up as well. Georgia is supposedly the deserving team that shows the CFP was a joke this season, but lost by 20 and their OOC schedule was UMass, Austin Peay, MTSU and GA Tech. ND and GA played a very similar schedule and GA lost twice.

Anyone that says that GA deserves to be in over ND just doesn't know football. It is only because they have the mindset that the SEC is the absolute best conference and there is no debate and therefor they deserve to be in the CFP.

ND suffers from darlingism and lack of a conference championship game.

And yes, SEC is delusional. I read this morning that “Oklahoma would have finished 4th in the SEC West division.”

Oklahoma really isn’t that good and hadn’t played a real defense all year. You see what happened when they finally played a defense with a pulse. They would finish 3rd or 4th in the West.

Can you really be that dumb? Other than the 14 points the refs gifted them Oklahoma outscored Bama, 34-31. Oklahoma rushed for more yards and passed for more yards than any SEC opponent Bama faced in the regular season and Bama had a month to prepare for them. Just checked: Oklahoma passed for more than their season average and rushed for only 27 yard less.... Yeah, those SEC defenses are REALLY stout!?!

TCU's defense is rated higher than all but three of SEC's defenses... two of which LSU and MS State scored how many points against Bama?!!

I guess Georgia showed how great the SEC was and how it was a travesty/conspiracy that they were left out of the playoffs.... 03-lmfao

RE: Notre Dame
There are plenty of arguments to be had for/against Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State, UCF, Georgia, and the entire SEC. Some SEC teams looked great in the bowls. Others looked like crap. They are the best conference, but they aren't as good as they believe. In reality, there are only two great teams in college football this year. The committee had to pick four. Notre Dame's undefeated record against a decent strength of schedule made that an easy choice (and one they couldn't go against). Oklahoma was the other best choice.

Most everyone knew by mid-season who would be playing in the title game.
