RE: Link for current division 1 attendance averages?
tulane is trash in sports but I rather a school in an easy to get to location that is a great travel destination than add some school in the middle of nowhere that might be slightly better at sports. Having a cupcake in bball and fball is also nice (except when tulane beats ya, right memphis fans?)

None of the schools mentioned (VCU, any MWC team, buffalo) register at all on the national level and would be 100% irrelevant adds.

Hell VCU basketball with Army football makes a lot of sense. You know what doesn't make sense? Any justification for Tulane in this conference.

Army apparently does not want to join a conference for football. You may recall they dropped out of CUSA. Therefore, Army is not a viable option.

VCU maybe viable for basketball depending on travel, separation, and media deal considerations.

Buffalo would still be a better choice. With the new media rights deal, you could probably take your pick of the MWC as well. Tulane is jut hot garbage and needs to be removed.

Sure lol

Some of you crack me up. Your short term memory is terrible. Tulane won a bowl game, has a great baseball program, and were decent in basketball last year before losing and NBA player and having their one true point guard hurt. I know nobody cares, but their women's program is pretty solid too, and UConn does care.

Tulane has made the NCAA 3 times with the last time being in 1995. The highest seed ever earned was a 9. Your home "arena" holds less than a high school gym.

Simply put your below average football doesn't carry the carcass of a basketball program your school has. Baseball, women's sports, and the 50th largest television market (Buffalo is 52nd btw) doesn't mean Tulane should be in this conference.

Not a Tulane fan.

Buffalo? Are you serious right now? Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahwhahahqhqhqhqhwhwh snort

Not to mention, Tulane has won some NCAA tournament games which is more than you can say for some schools in this league. Right UCF fans?

UCF? East Carolina has the worst basketball history in this conference hands down.

Good or not doesn’t matter, the attendance/ game day atmosphere is not what major college sports represents. Hell a lot of d2 schools are good. It hurts the whole conference; tv deals, recruiting etc. sad as it is, nobody cares . And if you need a reason to go to New Orleans; hell just go! I hate when I here “ gosh dang, Tulane is a good road trip “ . Then freakin go, shouldn’t have to be to a game where the visitors outnumber the home team.

Picking on Tulane is bad taste. Let’s go after some teams who are the face of the conference who can’t even hit a 6k average.

Holyshit, I thought when they had lost self-respect in every other meaningful sport East Carolina was still the attendance smack kings. Now that's gone to?

That’s pretty typical ECU basketball attendance. If ECU had the product UCF for example had it would definitely be 6,000+.

ECU will probably lead the conference in football attendance next season.

Nice, an attendance thread. Something to give the fans of underperforming and downtrodden teams something to gripe about in the attempt to redeem their self worth in the conference. 03-lmfao

The first time I went to Canada as a child they had American Dry instead of the Canada Dry soda we have here. Do they still have American Dry in Canada?

The only people who gripe about attendance threads are those who are underperforming in attendance thus having an intention to deflect the valid conversation at hand. 03-lmfao

We're gonna need names. Of all 12 teams only three have not been to a nyd/ny6 bowl. ECU, Memphis, and USF. Everyone else has been to multiples except Temple. Hell even Wichita State has a sun bowl appearence, some conference championships, and a hall of famer.

How far are we going back? ECU was in the '92 Peach Bowl, beat NC State 37-34

Sorry, no. We're talking traditional here, Rose, Sugar, Orange, Cotton, Fiesta. Peach bowls since the play off era would count. But the other teams don't need to count peach bowl appearence no matter when they were to get multiples. Temple's was a Rose.
