Question Hope Scottie Mo is enjoying the Alamo Bowl tonight.
The QB he gave exactly one half of the first game of the year in 2017 before yanking him for the Duke transfer Sirk is closing out his college career and getting lots of face time.

Good riddance Mo.

Bad officiating in this one too. Taunting on a pick 6 that I've seen 20 times this year without being called, the Apparent targeting on defenseless receiver while in the air isnt called, then a DL pulling up on Minshew touches his helmet it ejected. On top of all that a missed false start a couple plays later that would have negated a Ted.

Minshew was fifth in Heisman voting? I'd say Scotty is not a particularly good evaluater of talent.

Meanwhile the Duke QB who threw for 2k less yards than Minshew is going to the NFL while Gardner might at best have a shot in the CFL. Leach is a master at what he does and what he does is regularly run an offense where the QB throws for 4500 to 5000 yards and 35-40 tds.
Washington St and Leach has 4 out of the top 6 all time single season passing record holders in the Pac12. Gardner is now #1 all time by a couple hundred yards for single season mark. Leach will use his plug and play with Gardner leaving and next years QB is going to throw for 4500 yards like clock work.

Mo came from Cutcliffes Duke offensive philosophy where the QB is going to throw for around 2500 yards and needs to be able to run. At ECU the QB also needs to be able to run for their lives based on the piss poor OL we have put together over the last 4 years. Bottom line is ECU fans have completely over reacted to what Minshew did at Washington St. Patrick Pinkney could have gone to Leach and thrown for similar numbers. Gardner is a touch passer and Leach offense is built for that short pass game that Gardner has. Washington St wont miss a beat with Gardner leaving. It was a feel good story with the tragedy of the previous QB committing suicide and the whole porn star mustache that made GM a media darling. His stats are not that different than the previous 4 Washington St QB's. Biggest difference is Leach had a ranked team coming back this year capable of making a run in a weak Pac 12 so it all culminated in a great season for Leach, Washington St and Gardner. I am happy for him but Mo was a mediocre coach before Gardner and after . Leach was an offensive master who taught Lincoln Riley before Gardner and will be after Gardner.

Good riddance Mo.

Thomas Sirk was tough but he couldn’t even walk when he came to ECU. A shell of his former self. That was a real boneheaded move by our staff. Minshew could obviously spin it with the proper system and coaching. If we still had Ruff and the Texas tech staffers he would’ve been great at ECU.

Did you notice Dave Nichol on the sidelines coaching em up last night? He could’ve been a great coordinator at ECU. We never gave him a chance

Good for him for getting away. Uncle Rico would have accomplished nothing under Mo this year.
He could throw a ball over them mountains.

Minshew leaving for WSU was good for both schools. If he had stayed, ECU would have maybe won 5 games this year and barely surpassed the threshold to keep Mo in the fold. Thankfully, we now have the best man for the job.

The Alamodome ran out of Busch Light, even after promising Iowa State fans it wouldn’t

I was watching that game last night and wondered why Minshew left and what ECU fans thought about it.

Left because we had an idiot head coach. I'm glad, have to do what's best for your career.

Best thing that ever happened to ECU. If Gardner had stayed as pointed out above we probably win 6 games and Coach Mo is given another year. As it is Gardner was able to step into a sweet plug and play situation where the starting QB always throws for 4500+ yards and throws 35+ TDs. He had an awesome Senior experience of travelling around the Pac 12 and now if he wants it is off the Canadian Football League or he can start coaching the in the Leach system maybe as a Grad Assistant.
