I have us going 9-9 in conference, No win streak and I agree with the five game losing streak. So I see us at 15-16.

I don't count the non-D1 games. 2-6 right now and will go 9-9 in the MAC. 11-15 overall.

I think 9 MAC wins is a bit optimistic if we keep rolling with the big lineup, and Paul Jackson continues his poor play (I truly believe those two issues are related).

I’ll say 7-11, 13-18 overall. If Murphy isn’t fired, he will be firmly on the hot seat going into next year.

8-10 in conference
14-17 overall, with one more win coming in the MAC tournament to put us at 15-17
No 5-game winning streak
No 5-game losing streak

13 and 18 with any luck is what team ranking has them as

With the way this season has started....who really cares? I hate to be negative, but for all the statements about how talented we were, and what was going to be a great season, ugh.

Ugh would be a polite response this far Ken. We lost one starter from a team that absolutely tore up the conference the second half of last year, why not have high expectations? Then again last year I left the first WMU game early, convinced that we needed a new coach.

Then Murphy wins 9 out of 10 of his next conference games, beating WMU and Toledo on the road after to losing to them at home all while blowing a huge lead at Bowling Green that would have made them 10-0. I am hardly confident but I will not give up on this season yet.

Far worse than it should be.

Stay on task, people. I can read about the disappointment in countless other threads.

Again: What will their record be, will there be a 5 game win streak, and will there be a 5 game losing streak?

I'm with Jerry. Generally speaking, I'd rather have a lot of talent, which needs to learn how to play together or get the right pieces on the floor at the same time, then too little talent.

Learning how to play together is not likely without an effective system to play in.

9-9 at best. The only thing that will make 9-9 palatable is if 4 of those wins are over WMU and CMU.

The only good news is that Murphy will FINALLY be fired as a result of this season AND that is reason to celebrate. Cheers.

How is it possible that James Thompson has not improved into a conference dominating beast in this, his senior season? It is hard to screw JT4 up and congratulations, Murph, you succeeded.

10-8 in conference.

*Murphy teams never seem to give up (except the year Lee, Toney, and Mangum were seniors where they fell apart)
*As Sam stated, a lot of the struggles have been playing 2 centers and the related dismal performance by Jackson. I believe Murphy corrected this in the last game, and I assume will continue.
*Would have EMU at 12-6, but the MAC is very competitive this year. So dropping them to 10-8.

(This will probably be the most optimistic post... other than Sunshine Steve’s)
