He had a great year, but I imagine if he's leaving early it's likely the coaches have identified next year's starter or at the very least, the probability of LaRussa being the starter is in doubt.

Wish him well in seminary school, though.

I hear BW tried very hard to convince him to stay, but he truly believes this is his calling. I respect the decision and don’t think it has anything to do with his ability or the team at all. That said, I do think this isn’t the end of the world. Hopefully one of our other options steps up. Time to turn a setback into a comeback.

If a kid leaves odu it’s because he’s not good enough......
