During his acceptance speech, Dabo brought his Bama OC coach from the audience to stand next to him on the podium. That is UAB related because Woody McCorvey was one of the first - if not the very first - to be offered the FBHC job to take the Blazers into D1. After he turned it down, the committee turned to Watson Brown who accepted.
