Uh oh, looks like wins at New Orleans, Tulane, and Georgia will put Penny in the number four slot. Isn't that when the sky starts to fall? I guess I'm reading the numbers wrong, because the only thing I can surmise is that we had a pretty good coach, followed by two years of bleah, and now we have a great coach.

We're just waiting to see what happens when the Tigers beat Georgia Saturday, and Penny overtakes Pastner. Will be some tears on the OPer's keyboard, for sure.

RE: Tigers Bball Coaches - Overall record discussion thread
We will learn a lot about this team and this season in the next two games.

Georgia aint great but they do have athletes...

WSU doesn't have great athletes but they are well coached...

Come out of this unscathed and we can start discussing which pod they are going to place us in because we will be a preferred seed (1-4).

anyone that thinks JP has 1/2 the coaching ability of Penny has to be looking at something other than results

RE: Tigers Bball Coaches - Overall record discussion thread
I remember Josh’s team playing at Louisville a year or 2 before they won the national championship. They beat us even though they weren’t more talented than we were. I remember thinking around 10 minutes into the game that we were going to lose simply based on substitution patterns—Louisville had a set rotation pattern, our guys were already tired.

If you made a checklist of 30 line items of the things required to Coach (ie team cohesion, defensive effort, adjustments, use of timeouts, etc) I think Penny is superior to Josh on almost every item.

This shouldn’t even be a conversation. Penny is superior to Josh in every possible way!!!
