I can't think of an example where the twins are equal. Teams are the same. A group of leaders move on and the new leaders step up and try to lead with the same values but its different.

And back to lack of depth when Lester took over.
QB- Had Wassink(no experience and a True Frosh)
RB- Had depth and talent and injuries still caused and issue
WR- name one with any experience. Counted on 3 true frosh to be in the rotation.
TE- Ernsberger and Miller were studs
OL- Keenoy, Juriga and Okorafor. Returning starters. After that was Novoselsky and Doyle and Elliot Jordan. Everyone else was a true or reshirt frosh.

DL- Thin as can be. Helped by bringing in Clark.
LB- Talent with Bailey, Brown and Spillane, Spears and Grace were the backups.
DB- Phillips and Beal and Ginwright.

I don't think anybody here would argue with you that our passing attack wasn't exactly our strong suit in 2017. However, that shouldn't have been the case a year later. We still under-performed offensively IMO and were extremely inconsistent. To that point, I think our depth at OL and RB has been our single-greatest strength during Lester's tenure, and we've done very little with it. Not sure I follow you on that one.

I won't even begin to address defense. I can agree that our depth along the DL is lacking, but can't agree on the rest. I think we have enough talent (and depth) that we shouldn't routinely be giving up 40+ points against below average MAC teams. And I'll re-iterate that I think some of this falls on the offense and special teams under-performing. If our special teams puts us in better position and our offense sustains longer drives, it only helps our defense in the long-run.

Bottom line... we just shouldn't be having these kinds of problems when inheriting a MAC Championships caliber team and with the recruiting classes we are bringing in to sustain it. Trust your eyes and trust what you are seeing on paper (statistics, records, etc.) -- this isn't rocket science. The program is under-performing in nearly every facet.

He hasn't corrected anything. Let's see if he goes out and finds a DC.

Whoa there. Several people said he would “never” fire his friends and would never make adjustments. Some of those people predicted us to only win three or four games. Wrong on both counts, but now the bar is set higher. It’s as if some cheer for the failure so they can be proven right, which happened under Fleck and Cubit as well.

Hell, some are calling for the entire department to be let go. Nacho sounds like he has PTSD, as if he didn’t get to just see the best season in perhaps all of MAC football history.

I’ll add too that some said he’ll never recruit as well as PJ. Even this recruiting season people were wringing their hands.
