Not sure last year is much of a comparison. They finished 10-3, had Rashaad Perny, and were undefeated on their way into the Top 25 when we almost beat them at their place.

We would not have score 27 against San Diego State....

And we probably would have found a way to make their QB look like Drew Brees.

Carey needs to have an audience with Solich, get down on his knees and ask "How do you win bowl games?"

Yeah no kidding, these bowl embarrassments are getting old

Is there a team in the nation with a longer bowl losing skid than NIU?

RE: Go Ohio!
It's an interesting question. Would our fans rather finish 2nd consistently but win the bowl games like Solich's Bobcats, or win conference titles and crap the bed in bowls. Obviously we all want both, but would you trade Carey for Solich? I always thought conference titles were more important but this is getting tiresome.

It'd be one thing if the bowl games were competitive but this is getting ridiculous. The games are over by halftime.

No. But we are tied with Ball State. Ball State is 0-6 in bowl games.

Why does it have to be one or the other? I want both!

We are 2-8 in the postseason under Rod Carey, that's a .200 winning percentage. Those eight losses were all blowouts except for Utah St, a game our offense with a Heisman finalist QB looked completely inept in (then again, offense has looked inept often under Rod).

Just pointing out that UtState had a tremendous D the year we played them in the bowl. They shut JL down, and our O.

And our kicker, who was reliable all year, suddenly forgot how to kick a FG.

Having worked most of my career in Ohio, I hired and worked with a bunch of OU grads over the years and I am happy for my Bobcat friends!

Me too, I like their program and coach. Always tough to play them, never easy.
