Still looking for that first Florida commit. Tre Huntley maybe? How many scholarships do we have this year?

McCray was moved up to #9 on Edgy's final rankings.

One neat thing I noticed is 4 players(Richie being a JUCO) will be enrolling in January. Helps get a head start and Richie should be able to step right in come next fall.

Another observation is why is a RB from Mt. Carmel signing with Western Michigan. Don't we know the head coach there? I'm assuming this was a done deal under the previous coaching staff.

It doesn't look like NIU offered him. They can't take every local kid who ends up at a MAC school, anyway.

He has been tied to WMU to a while I believe. Kid is a beast.

McCray was a very nice add late along with Love. With twitter/internet, lot less surprises each year. Not many that you say, didn't know we were recruiting him.

I think he has a chance to play a lot next season, might be a starter.

Is the signing of 16 recruits a low number?

This is only the EARLY signing period. Seems to right about the norm. Illinois only signed 11. It appears 14 to 16 is pretty average.

February 6 is the late signing date.

While 16 may seem a bit lower, looking at rankings and numbers, the quality of the guys we did end up getting is very good. Seems to be our 3rd straight year of a good quality class.

Lot of skills, I really like McCrary & Clark. Need a RB, Love looks like a receiver.

We are set with Harbison and Nettles for the next two years. Next year's recruiting class will focus on RBs.

Was reminded of Eric Doke a FR RB. Was well recruited but blew out abknee his Sr. Season, has anyone heard on his health and how has he looked. He has size and strength like Harbison.
