RE: Game Article
Loved our effort yesterday, It seemed Michigan was taking it easy in the 1st half... We kept the crowd out of the game which was great.

Local Detroit news covered all the scUM highlights in the game, ignored Western's. Watching it, you would have thought UM had us down by 30 points. Same ole, same ole-been watching it for 40 years now, expected nothing different.

“No. 5 Michigan was out of sync and out of rhythm coming off a weeklong layoff” - Detroit News

Meanwhile, the Broncos were in a flow having just played... a week ago.

Did they mention Beilein’s post game presser “Western Michigan played great. Let’s give them a lot of credit. Flowers is tremendous, not good, he put 26 on Cincinnati, he put 31 on us... he kept them in the game”. https://twitter.com/samuelrobinsonj/stat...93409?s=21

Beilein is a class act. And no, the Detroit papers gave us no love. As always.

Quote:"Tampering -- that's what this is," Hawkins said Wednesday morning. "It's the same thing if you come in on a verbal commitment (made by a recruit).

What bothers Hawkins is the breach, as he sees it, of an unwritten code between coaches

"I don't feel good about the way it was handled by the University of Michigan," Hawkins said. "Is it legal? Yes. Did it cross an ethical line? Yes, I think so. And I'm not happy about it."

LOL

Was that coach Hawkins talking about Laval Jordan's hiring?

Or coach (Jay) Smith talking about Cornell Mann's hiring?

Anyway.

Good effort Saturday.
