8 man rotation. The freshmen, Martin, Adams, and Williams.
Parrish didn’t play and Martin didn’t score. Williams had 5 as did Adams. Williams did have 8 RB and 3assists.

I thought a few people were commenting that Parrish looked like one of the best players on the team in practices last year when he was sitting out? Maybe my memory is faulty.

Fingers crossed we can finish up the non-conference with a home win against a bad Omaha team.
4 D-1 wins in the non-con, while not good, would be better than some other years.

He genuinely was. Also was by far the hardest worker on the team. Really hoping he figures everything out because he can be a really good player.

I still think he’s the most athletic guy we have right now. If he drives the ball aggressively maybe it will open up his shot because I’m guessing he’s a better shooter than he’s shown.

They did lose to UH by only 5 at the HPE.

I'm pretty sure Chris Mullins might be the most serious player I've ever seen.
Also, combing through the box score since I couldn't watch the game: what a weird boxscore. Ako only played 14 minutes, Rob didn't score, Moore turned it over 5 times in 19 minutes. Wouldn't have imagined our first road win would've accompanied all those numbers.

Oh sorry. They were talking about it on the TV broadcast and had a graphic and I was assuming they were still talking about the men's team (plus they were predicting a sellout of like 7000 folks so the chauvinistic part of me just assumed men there as well).
Well maybe we got a lesser, quieter crowd then.

Capacity of their gym is 2500. Makes Tudor look big.

It's way bigger than 2500. They had 6000 for Oklahoma earlier this year

Massey's rating system has Omaha and Rice right next to each other, as of today, and gives Rice a 60% chance of winning the game.
It also gives Rice a 51% chance against MTSU at this time. But that's the only other game where Rice is currently favored even a little bit. (Hosting USM at the beginning of January is at 49%.)

Oklahoma was played at a new, multi-purpose arena in Edinburg ( Bert Ogden Arena). The 6k was not a sellout, when it's in its basketball configuration.
Every other home game on UTRGV's schedule is played at the older Fieldhouse, which can hold 2500.
And is it just me, or do you see gout in the Rio Grande Valley when you see their athletics website URL: goutrgv . com? The gout just stands out, because I know RGV stands on its own, too.

I'd assume a win against Omaha would push us into a better than even chance against USM.
What does it give our chances as @UTEP?

At UTEP - 25%. Despite the rough record, they're 70 spots higher in the rankings. The only other games better than 1 in 3 at moment are hosting UAB (39%) and at Charlotte (46%). In fact, that's an interesting run of games for chances to win, going MTSU, then UAB and finally Charlotte. Get some confidence, and they might do something. Get on a losing tear, and it could snowball.

So winning some/all of these will give us a boost? Go Owls, just win.

I worked the UH-UTRGV game (which was the last game for UH at TSU). Although I really thought UH was the better team, that game was really close and UTRGV made a number of plays in the 2nd half to keep it close...UH was never actually in control of the game until the last minute or so.
This is a good win.

Most on here have been misunderestimating prospects for this team.
