I think the thing is LaTech has been favored 3 of the last 4 (maybe 4 of 4) and USM has still beat them. Normally we beat them in the last couple minutes of the game.

LaTech is recruiting well right now.

Let's face it. Nobody wants to be in CUSA. We're all here because no other conference will have us.
If any of us get an invite to just about any other conference we will be out of CUSA like a shot. And that's just wishful thinking.
That doesn't make for any sort of consistent Rivalry Games.

Rice taking that MAC or Sun Belt invite? I get that you guys would bolt for the AAC or MWC, but you did say "just about any".

With time, Rice could have rivalries with most of the schools in the West. Rivalries are easier to develop within a small region. We play each other every year. We're forced to look at each others' school bumper stickers and T-shirts everywhere we go. Coworkers are alumni of the opposition. There are bragging rights involved. Commonality.

I miss our Rivalry with Troy. If I can think of any true Rivalries for MT it's WKU and Troy

Is WKU really a rivalry? I have looked at the attendance #s and they don't show any increase when y'all play to indicate a rivalry.

Look at basketball attendance. Are football attendance has been garbage for years for reasons we have stated a million times. It also doesn't help that the last couple of years when Western was good a football we sucked and vice versa.

You UNT guys need to worry about your own ownage. Since 2005, LA Tech has won 6 of the last 8 games over you. That's 75%.
