WAC basketball week 7
Tonight's games...

Chicago State (3-9) @ Northwestern (7-3)
Cal Baptists (5-5) @ SE Louisiana (4-5)
Seattle U (9-3) @ Portland U (6-6)
New Mexico State (7-2) vs Northern Colorado (6-2)

Rumor has it another player becomes eligible for NMSU tonight. If true, he will give NMSU even more offensive fire power.

And, Cal State Bakersfield Rickey Holden was selected WAC POTW.

Tonight's results...

Chicago State loses to Northwestern 46-88
Cal Baptist beat SE Louisiana 73-52
New Mexico State beats Northern Colorado 74-62
Seattle U beats Portland U 65-56

Trevelin Queen played his first game in an Aggie uniform but failed to score. He played conservative just trying to fit into Jans' system.

As a friendly reminder, Trevelin Queen was rated #8 in the 2018 JC Top 100. That means 3 of the top 10 JC players nationally (in the 2018 class) are at NMSU. Queen is a 6'6" guard and averaged 26ppg last year.

Tonight's games...

UT Rio Grande Valley (7-5) vs. Rice (4-7)
Cal State Bakersfield (6-4) vs. Cal Poly (3-6)

A good chance for the WAC to pick up wins over CUSA and the Big West.

CBU hangs on to beat Southern University 79-76 in Baton Rouge. They improve to 7-5 for the season. That gives the WAC six schools with seven or more wins, all six with winning records.

UVU with another home win. ISU was shooting well from 3 and UVU wasn’t, and we still managed to win. Not a big crowd, but that’s to be expected with Finals over. Idaho St probably brought 60-80 with them and they cheered very passionately. We’re taking our 19 game home winning streak into Sat vs SHSU. We’re playing well, as is most of the WAC. It’s good to see teams gelling and improving as conference season arrives. It’ll make for a great 2nd season!

It sucks to see UMKC lose, but it LOOKS like they’re getting better as well.

RE: WAC basketball week 7
NMSU steamrolled CSUN tonight 92-57. This is the deepest Aggie team I've ever seen. We can play all 15 players and not lose much strength offensively from player #1 to #15. I will not say this is the most talented Aggie team because I've seen better Aggie players in prior years. Zach Lofton and Jemerrio Jones were better overall players than anyone on this squad. They just didn't have the supporting cast.
