Great job keeping this tight lipped. Very professional and will certainly help us with future searches. Fantastic job by Bourne et al., made a lot of posters on here look silly.

We are not Charlotte after all.
I texted my Elon donor friends, they are VERY upset. They didn't see this coming at all. I asked if they thought their next hire would come from this staff, and they said the word is they're all leaving.
Ouch... make that at least 2 schools on the letter to NCAA about signing day needing to be moved then.

His new twitter account shows him signing the contract at BFS in a suite I believe.
That means he’s already on campus today
Wonder if they snuck him back on the plane from Atlanta, or he had another ride in today.

That should be awkward for him.
Not as awkward as when we go to Greenville and kick the crap out of ECU again.

Ha, just one problem. At the current pace, neither coach would be involved in the game by the time it gets scheduled

I soooo want to see that game happen!
Call Houston’s bluff and see if they have cajones to play us.

You made a great hire, but Harasymiak is a future rock star at the FBS level.
Cignetti is 57. He may see JMU as his best shot at a FBS gig...then again, Cignetti would be about 60 after 3 super years at JMU, and could be seen as too old for a FBS HC job, and could settle into making JMU his home until he retires.
a low end FBS job would hire a 62 year old coach. it is less likely that an attractive g5 school would. Probably the most qualified, but it may be an attempt by the athl dept to have some continuity. I will regret mentioning this, but could be a guy to transition us to something we are monitoring......

57 years old- very likely he doesn't move on from JMU for greener pastures. Stability at head coach is a good thing for the program.

Bourne: How do you feel about monitoring situations?
Cignetti: Situation monitoring is fluid, dynamic and most important, continuous.
Bourne: You had me at fluid...

RE: Welcome Coach Cignetti
So Houston leaves for ecu after beating them with an fcs school and then cignetti leaves for jmu after beating us with a much smaller fcs program .. sounds like Towson is losing their coach soon .. to be honest I'm so glad that we got out our guy and we can challenge ndsu again next year !!

I mean, Don Brown is probably our HC if we didn't agree to terms with Manny Diaz, and Brown is 63.
