Toledo has just offered 6-4 Guard Sean McNeil from Sinclair Community College in Dayton. In his first 10 games with Sinclair, McNeil leads all National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Divisions in scoring average at 34.8 points per game, three point field goals made per game at 5.5, and three point field goal percentage at 45.1%. Besides Toledo,McNeil has offers from Dayton, James Madison, Lipscomb and UNC Asheville.

Interesting, clearly coach k has no issues w too many commits and bumping guys from the bottom of the roster. Losing your top three perimeter scorers does suggest the need for an impact transfer there.

McNeil has an interesting story. He graduated in 2017 from a dot on the map Kentucky HS with quite a lot of accolades, including selection to the KY all-star team that plays IN all-stars every year. He got a scholarship from D2 Bellarmine, but dropped out of school after just a couple of weeks. He realized that was not a good decision and after missing that year, enrolled at Sinclair CC. He is shooting 11 or 12 3's a game, and making almost half of them. He is shooting 88% at the foul line and set a school record with 55 points in one game.

In addition to the schools listed, he also has an offer from Evansville, and according to the Dayton newspaper, Bob Huggins of WVU was at a recent game to check out McNeil. They also said he has 3 years of eligibility remaining. Coach K, after one of our games, said he recruits shooters, so it is no wonder he made an offer. McNeil's skill set is probably similar to Littleson.

adding an experienced big guard who can score would be a game changer next season. got a pretty good defensive and rebounding team back. adding more size too. point guard is back. big opportunity to fill scoring minutes on the perimeter. saunders will fight for some of those. littleson can probably handle more. he's restrained his game and settled into a role player, mostly passer and defender mindset. next year, he may show more of his ball handling and scoring game. however, if we can add someone real good to the 2021 class of m jackson, alderson, gordon, littleson (which may eventually see a transfer from 1 or 2 of those 3 bench guys) you avoid a dip in talent their senior year. and maybe extend this run of good seasons that looks to continue next year

right now, any new 2019 recruits will have be impact players because you are clearly going to have to not renew a current guys scholarship/help nevigate a decent transfer opportunity. you don't do that for a marginal recruit. you do it for someone who coule be special.
