Oh, yes. Fastsnapper. In response to the unimaginably high number of blocked punts were suffered under the leadership of Rip. I remember him well. Was really, really affected by football to the point where he wasn't well.

Would love to know where he is now after all of the successes in football.

I'd bet he's a part time Auburn fan and probably created an alternate account here referenced by a jungle book character. Just a guess though.

Here's what I know:

Fastsnapper actually called into Forrest Goodman after another Rip debacle and it wasn't pretty. His posts reflected the intensity of his love/hate relationship with Tiger FB.

The person on this board who I believe you're referring to might actually be a different person who would call into Weinberger and Jack and call himself 'War Eagle Alan' and would call Coach Cal 'Coach Con-Apari'.

Coincidence? Who knows.

As much as I am enjoying this, see post #62

That was me. I asked the mods to change my name after Rip. I was a real ahole back then. Im reformed.

I liked you better as fastsnapper! The name said EVERYTHING.

Trust me, I was like you...Rip could literally rip your heart out with his 'win with defense and special teams' only to LOSE so many times.

I still like the name 'Ripmustgo' at TigerIllustrated! That was a good one!

I grew up as a kid during the Rip Scherer era.

I wouldn't have traded him for the world. He and his teams taught me what being a Tiger is all about.

I learned despair.

What is the origin of 6bc?

6BC is Charlotte. At the time they were the 6th Best in Carolina. As someone above said, they are probably 8 or 9BC now.

I never called a radio show. Fastsnapper was the nickname i used after i came unglued over rip complaining about our snap speed when we were getting mauled in every aspect of the game.
I joined right when the board started. Fastsnapper was my second handle here. Rather than get a third the mods changed it.

The whole auburn thing about me is over played. People that know me know this to be true. Its funny soneone called on ashpw as fastsnapper though. I really like Rip but dammmit man....snap speed. Lol
