Those early 80s Pitt teams were among the most talented never to win a national championship. From 1980 - 1984 they were loaded, and Fralic was a part of all that.

The late 1970s and early 1980s are a time i remember well. From Dorsett in 76 through Marino in 82-83, Pitt was always in the national conversation, was usually ranked inside the top 10, playing in big bowl games, playing big regular season games vs Notre Dame and Penn State, etc.

They were at the heart of college football at that time. For some reason, soon after Marino left they fell off a cliff and have never climbed back anywhere near those heights.
