What stalwell doesnt take into account is that unlike most countries the military is made up of FREE citizens that actually volunteer to join the military.

Looking at all of this from a distance I’ve come to a conclusion: we should allow the defeated party in every presidential election to appoint a partisan SC with his choice of staff and unlimited budget to investigate every cavity in the winners body for anything that doesn’t smell right.
That ought to drain the swamp....

...and like it happened before the civil war those same people chose sides in which to fight. Don't forget even one of their most famous CSA generals was a graduate of West Point. So, who do you think the military will side with? Not too many Liberals in the military, believe me.
