Big time! Had offers from Florida, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Louisville. Getting a local kid with P5 offers to stay home is awesome.

Great pick up and another local gem. Really have been impressed at Clark and Co. ability to get some of these higher profile local guys. It's also nice to get guys like this because they in turn help us recruit their teammates and other talented local players (both this year and over the next few years).

The staff also haven't been BS-ing around in regards to going after OL & DL prospects.

Former Florida commit. Great timing on the commitment, also. Might help with a few high profile guys who are interested but still on the fence.
9 to 11 spots left since a couple of the listed commits have reopened their commitments. Still need to see a two to three big time oline commits able to come in and start next year. And some game ready DTackles and a JuCo rush end and a big WR to replace Ubosi. A big, fast freshman running back
And a quick footed little wr to help replace wilson would be nice also.

Recruitment pretty much died when his hs coach said they were moving him to DL because he put on weight. Last offered on Feb 1. Looks slow on tape. What the heck happened?
Like, he hit a growth spurt and weight came with it as far as filling his frame, but the explosiveness is no longer there on tape. Let’s get him enrolled early!
Clearly looks like we are taking this class off as far as looking for offense. Will bite us.

He has enough natural talent to get offered by everyone from the SEC to the PAC-12. After a summer in our conditioning program the weight and speed won’t be an issue. As far as skipping offense this cycle let’s just see who sends in their paperwork before we pass judgment

This. Clark and his coaches have shown ability to manage a roster. Remember, our defense was anticipated to be our weakness this year.
We have 17 commits but 2 or more of these have reopened their process, so we have at least 10 spots left plus blueshirts. Im guessing the majority of those are going to be offense, once we land a 2 or 3 more dTackles and a rush end. Swoopes, who committed yesterday also, could play Wr instead of corner.
I also wonder if they are planning to move one or more of last years DB signees over to offense. The Lanier kid is tall with elite speed.
I predict we will also see one or more graduate transfers on the oline. Lots of opportunity to immediately earn a spot there, based on what we saw from first mtsu game.

Lanier, Key and Pollock are all tall kids, who were good offensive players in high school. Pollock was a Rb, the other two were receivers. Would like to see what Pollock could do.
